Oh and people I don't know if you guys remember about the past NCBs but sometimes we would get people
that didn't shower or even put deodorant on.
So this is a heads up to everybody who smells like ****. Please if your not gonna take a shower atleast
put some body spray or deodorant because we don't want to be stuck in a gym locker while playing
smash for 12 hours.
Don't take this as an insult just ask the rest of the NCB people.

why do people use ridiculously hard-to-read text
anyway, if you're expecting a smash tournament to smell like roses, that's pretty ignorant
regardless of what people smell like going in, being in a moderately cramped room with 40 guys won't end well for anyone, so you should really lower your expectations

Some people suggested running Swiss, but it's a lot of work because you have to reseed all the matches manually. So I suggest we do pools to bracket, probably for doubles as well. At Quakfest we had 8 teams and just did an 8-team round robin which was fun. However I also thought maybe we should have a low tier tourney in honor of the new tier list (Link and below only). I suppose we can figure out what people want as we go along tomorrow. Same with the ruleset and stages, unless someone really needs a full ruleset posted here.

no, you're in the phase where you think you're good, but you don't know how large a gap it is between decent, good, great, and amazing. jeff is amazing, and tang is great. you're decent to good. that means if they tried, you would get four stocked maybe 50% of the time. (and even that may be too low.) ergo, two of them is enough for your entire region.

and yeah might i remind people this isnt NCB. they wont be happening biweekly, theres a good chance this is sjsu's last tournament unless the CS room elects a smasher as an officer. or unless the officers decide to play more smash.

PLEASE do take a shower, PLEASE do wear deodorant. and at one tourney someone showed up smelling quite strongly of weed. do NOT show up smelling like weed. i dont care if you're high but if everyone in the room can smell it off you im going to ask you to leave.
all negativity aside, this seems like it actually going to be a pretty amazing tourney. a lot of epic people are going to show up, we might do the epic pools ruleset, and me and my doubles partner are going to tear up teams.
we may even hear some ICEninja johns for old time's sake
