hey, I still use mario in tournament sometimesI met this one guy who wanted to raise Mario up the tier lists, and right after he ditched him for Doc, Mario went down in the list.
what does that say? ore no chin chin?ピーチーを使うみたいです。
Who the fu** are you? 1st of all, you don't know anything about the smash community. I've been to countless tournaments over the past 7 years, and held small ones at my house and countless smashfests. You are obviously ignorant to the fact, that if you're going to take it upon yourself to run a tournament, you better expect to clean up your d*** self. You can ask for help of course, but you should never rely on it. Every single tournament I've been to, including the countless NCB's, I've cleaned up after myself, never leaving one article of trash of my own. I'm not going to clean up after a bunch people, half of which I've never even seen before, that's the tournament organizers' and the staffs' job, not mine or anyone else's. How bout next time, you get everyone's attention and show them exactly where the trash cans are? that's a genius idea. Or how bout you make it so eating isn't allowed inside? even better. The point is this, Nick gave me an attitude 1st when I was simply making a joke about the insane amount of tables coming out of that small room, I wasn't complaining about the tables being in the way. So in that defense, I could give a sh** less about you, or these "Important people" that Nick had to talk to on behalf of my "actions". You obviously don't know what sacrifices come with labeling yourself as the tournament organizer. Sorry Nick, there are very few people in this community I have no respect for, you are now one of them. The fact that you couldn't pm me personally or pull me aside at the tournament to talk to me, shows me what a coward you really are. Instead, you tried to put me on blast on the forums by calling me out specifically, when I actually threw away all MY trash, and helped with the 1st initial clean up during the tournament.Hi All,
My name's Andy Manoske, and I'm the Secretary of the SJSU Computer Science club. I was one of the people that went to bat for Ninja's tournaments with the Computer Science faculty here at San Jose State. Before I talk, I want to reiterate that my views do not actively reflect the total opinions of the CS club.
The CS club has previously had an excellent relationship with the Smash community. Kizzo's management of the Bi-Weeklies had shown us that the community as a whole is generally a well-mannered and fun group. This last weekend however, while clearly not indicative of the generally amicable behavior of the smash community, was a disaster.
Ninja and two of our officers worked VERY hard to even set this tournament up. At least one of our officers was here for over 8 hours, watching over a tournament he didn't particularly care about/like, and was forced to stay late with everyone else to clean up after you. The state of the room was atrocious. Leaving the room in that state is extremely disrespectful to several of us that went to bat for the Smash Community (of whom few are actual CS club members, much less computer science students or even students here at SJSU).
This disrespect is compounded further with the behavior by some of the individuals at the party. Germ, I'm not sure you understand how much work went into hosting this event. Several of us, including non-smashers, vouched for your behavior to some very important people at this school. To disrespect us by treating Ninja like this, on top of leaving the room in the state it was in, is downright absurd.
I don't think you understand that you had people, who don't play smash, spending another up to 12 hours both watching over the tournament and cleaning up after people that they swore were well-mannered. Many of the CS club officers don't play smash, and were doing this as a favor to Nick. You dashed this in their face, and horribly disrespected their altruism with pure ignorant vitriol.
Because of this behavior, there will be no more tournaments at San Jose State. I cannot stress enough how disappointed I am in the sophomoric behavior displayed by members such as Germ. While only a small subset of the smash community, this behavior is so repulsive that I cannot in any way promote these events any longer.
These tournaments were a privilege. A privilege that you squandered.
Germ, you should be apologizing to Ninja. I'm not sure what clearly underfunded school of rhetoric you subscribe to, but even thinking about insulting the guy that went to bat for you and the rest of the smash community is downright amazing. Whatever point you had is lost in the baseless insults you've slung, and neither I nor any of my colleagues have anything but disdain for such behavior.
Shroomed, this wasn't a drunken house party. The CS club is an academic club whose purpose is to serve the students of San Jose State University, not a crash pad or a place to trash. We gave up our club room as a favor to Ninja for you to use. By not picking up after ourselves, you clearly showed that you have no respect for our good nature and spat on the previously excellent relationship that Kizzo and Mike666 set up between SJSU CS and the Smash community.
I'm sorry for those of you who aren't represented actively by Germ's behavior, and for those of you that might've taken the time to clean up. Unfortunately, the SJSU CS club cannot in good conscience continue these tournaments.
Regards,
Andy Manoske
SJSU CS Club Secretary
idk the VN was amazing for meoh wat? wat tsukihime do for you
I'm a play Falco against u the entire time. Its a more close game, harder one as well but I should use my main against u. Fox is just to gay... and Fox is a prick lol. It was a good game Herman and I REALLY wished it was recorded. Lets smash at concord sometime haha make Hella drive me lol. I havent smashed with DBR late at night for a long time.Who the fu** are you? 1st of all, you don't know anything about the smash community. And whoever this realitydeviant is, you can honestly go suck a di**. I don't fu**ing know you, nor do I want to know you. You are in no position to question my education or intellect. You're a self-righteous prick and you can rot in that piece of sh** school forever for all I care. Go cry some more you emo *******. Apoligize to Nick? I'll probably try shi**ing on my own lip 1st. You need to learn how to play host guy. You don't need to play mother to be a good host, you just have to, well...not be di**. Ask politely for help, not yell and demand. I hope you have a great life there in the pinnacle of prestigious schools known as San Jose State, until next time, go fu** yourself.
To everyone else there. It was definately an honor and a privelage being in the presence of such amazing people again. I truly missed all of you guys. I hold the melee community on such a high pedestal, one that is irreplaceable, which is more than half the reason I know longer play brawl. Of course brawl wasn't as fun as melee, but the brawl community as far as people goes, and the comrodary among the players, is so insignificant compared to the melee community. The community itself was just so dense and nowhere near as inspiring and colorful. It was a true pleasure to play with you guys again *Tip of the hat*
Thanks to Sheridan for running the tournament and regulating on the friendlies (Your funny when you're angry). Thank to Jeff and Mitchell for being such good brothers and crew mates, love you guys. You will always be DBR, smash or no smash. To Rey and Justin (Foxamist lol), always a pleasure to be around you guys, congrats on 1st Rey. To San Pablo (Allen, Shroomed, Cheese, and that one guy in my pool who played C. Falcon and Marth), It was awesome to finally meet you guys, you guys are really funny, I'm looking forward to rematching all of you, lol (Except Allen, I'll get you next time, but thanks for cheering for me against Shroomed, lol). To Superrad Brian, I don't talk to you that much but I respect a low key guy that doesn't cause drama. Plus you look like a little kid sometimes, that makes me laugh, good matches in pools though, smart choice on Shiek, lol. To Tutata and Young Wus, I love you guys man, my 2 new favorite smashers. You guys are too funny, YA WEI!!! Last but not least, to my uncle Zoap, always a pleasure to be in your presence, the rest of tournament just wasn't the same after you left. I'm sure there's tons of people I forgot, but I'll get you later. Peace yall, vote tomorrow.

Nick, l2ignore them and stop posting. You're pretty much feeding them with more stuff to bash on you about. Anything you say won't matter to them, cause their opinions of you won't change. Just stop posting in here, and all the drama will fade away.come on germ, i apologized for god's sake. and you still gotta put me on blast like that?
my origonal intent was to just make a passing comment in <cough cough> in one post, and then people had to comment on it.
i feel ive made myself pretty clear that i was just upset about the garbage stuff that was genuinely disgusting (haf eaten ramen and ramen MSG packets left on the floor) and im fully aware that as a tourney host i will have to go around and sweep up after, i actually wouldnt have been upset about this at all had we finished singles on time.
and you know i have full confidence that almost everyone that posts in this topic WASNT the people making a mess. there were a lot of people not familiar to this community and have no respect for the venue.
myko, your italicisized and underlined final statement was actually incorrect. thats why i IMed you personally because you didnt seem to understand. also note that i did that privately, not blasting it over the forum as you did to me. the advisor for the CS club said that officers must be on site at all times in order for the tourney to happen at all, to do things such as protect the club and school's property (such as controllers, one of which got taken out of a closed drawer and taken home) and that people wearnt trashing the room (enough has been said about that). so please, i know the CS club officers and such have posted mildly inflamitory remarks, and they now understand that it is a select few that caused any problem at all.
so can we please put this behind us now?
