Captain Falcon:

Ganondorf:

On top of having larger hit boxes on his up air, ganon also has 3 more attack frames in his up air in comparison to falcon. This is something I've suspected for years but finally took the iniative to prove to myself on this fateful night.

Just sharing.

Falcon sucks. Ganon owns.

I thought this thread was gonna be about how green Falcon is bigger than the other falcons.

Speaking of size, i think i finally found someone competent for Falcons manlihood.

Whitebeard (One Piece series)

If ure following the anime , youll know what i mean. Even more, if u already followed the manga.
I think no one can say no this time.
Hes Impressive.

I think I heard something like.....if your on the left side of peaches castle in the middle. On the tiny ledge. and you Dsmash with any Falcon besides Green you will fall off. But Green doesn't some example or something like that, I forget, maybe I'm right.

Magus figured all of this out years ago in Jiano's thread:

The different colors have very slightly different widths for dealing with stage collisions/interaction (hurtboxes are exactly the same). It manages to make a difference here and normal CF doesn't collide with the wall until later in the animation than the others, and when he does get adjusted by touching it it's enough to put him barely over the edge and so he falls.

This should give you an idea of how small of a difference it is and how they compare relative to one another (measured in DerpMeters):

Normal 1088
White .1096
Blue ..1097
Red ...1099
Black .1100
Green .1102
and

When did I ever say it affected the range of their d-smashes? The others are just a tiny bit fatter as far as bumping into walls is concerned.

The orange diamond is for dealing with stage interaction. When the movement of your character would put it through a wall/ceiling/floor or whatever, the game slightly repositions you away from that surface to prevent this from happening (otherwise you'd just pass right through them obviously).

The slight difference in width of this area that normal falcon has happens to make enough of a difference here where the edge of the others' diamonds touch the wall sooner in the d-smash animation while they are moving less forward, and the pushback they get from going through the wall at that part of the attack is enough to cancel the attack by leaving the ground but not enough to fall off so they just land immediately. Normal falcon instead reaches and interacts with the wall later in the attack and is moving forward more at that point in the animation and gets more pushback because of it, and it's enough to cause him to fall off completely.

honestly i have no idea. but if i had to guess i would say it makes him better at wall jumping/teching because since he's that much bigger he'll be exposed to the wall that much sooner. just a guess

edit: that or it makes no difference

It is a very minute difference that probably doesn't effect the timing of anything. Unless MAYBE your phantom hit while your playing green, then you can say "Wow If I was a diff color falcon that would have missed. But Maybe.

No. Hitboxes are the same size no matter what. It could possibly make like a 1-frame difference to wall-jumping, but I'm pretty sure most of the time you're moving fast enough that there wouldn't be any difference.

yeah there's no difference at all for any hitboxes. MAGUS would know if there's any difference for wall jumping or teching. But if there is any sort of difference it would be a matter of frames to the point where a player like me wouldn't even notice. i suck tho
