Snake and DDD do have the advantage over Marth. If you disagree than you don't know the match up (Though the advantage is not really big).

As for the thread question. You have a great deal of characters to choose from who have a fair chance of competing with the rest of the roster. Just find the character that works for you.

Marth, not as easy but he still has good matchups across the board and MK was a big weak spot for him...just might need to learn someone else as insurance against snake and D3

also to pimp my best character, lucario has great matchups...a good number of bad ones but they are all close.

Pick Lucario! He's megabroken in the fun department ^.^ And you don't get nearly as much negative tone on the Lucario boards as you inherently get on the MK boards due to the banning debates =\ Not to mention that he's pretty difficult to play very effectively and that he's underused (at least from what I see).

Oh, and I can't even begin to tell you how much fun it is to win against someone when you sucked at the beginning of the match and find yourself at one stock with the opponent at like 45% on their first stock. I did this on a pretty good player lately, myself...it's kinda situational, but it's fun as hell when it happens =D

Im all for banning Meta Knight. When replacing him I feel like alot of people choose "High Tier" characters for the sake of a head start (thats what was wrong with Meta Knight he is too **** good)... seriously he wiped out D3, G&W and ROB in one fell swoop resulting high placement in tournaments and now that MK is out in Mid West it'll leave other characters to pick up the slack.

In conclusion find a character you like and stick with it... Even if Meta Knight was that pick havn't you heard of secondaries... Thats what i hate about MK maining no secondaries.
