When I move back to the states I will enter tourneys to represent Luigi, I've done so once thus far.

duh the plane lawl. so are we still doing a crew ditto idea of mine or no? :/dude i really have no clue how id get to washington.
You ARE baked. If you can think while you fight, then there's no such thing as overthinking IMO. But, if you want to keep your thoughts simple, this is the ONE question you should have in your brain the entire fight... ready?(heads up/ semi-apology. I just got baked, so this is most likely misplaced and completely irrelevant. Feel free to disregard)
I think I just realized something fundamentally wrong with my game. I'm thinking too hard. I spend all my time doing smash calculus when I play this game. (what are my options? whats he about to use? How much damage will this do. What's my highest priority right now. Ect.) And I don't just chill on "dont get hit, hit the other guy." I need to simplify my philosophy.
Maybe you do to? hah maybe not. weird.
GGs. I lol'd at the misfires. High risk and high reward just made that go to a wtf moment lawl. Can't believe my diddy beat luigi. Effin hard as hell considering its his hard match up >_<.lol ggs hippie... 3 times i blew a lead by being spiked! what do u think about my buffering progress so far? i know i use it alot but im just doing it to get used to it
ggs player
Don't we all?ppps. I HATE DIDDY
Here's my thought on whether or not you use it too much:as you know i always play aggressive and approach with the dair alot so this fits me quite well and is extremly useful, but i dont know if maybe im doing it TOO much... what do u think?
edit: yea i noticed that too while playing against some ddds online. smash buffers are extremly useful since his shield is so weak
That's what I meant about it being hard to Shield Grab you when you FFAD. FFADing will probably reduce the amount of times you get Shield Grabbed from an nAir.chic said:it also almost eliminates my need to ff nair to land faster which often led to being shield grabbed
theres a step 2? usually its just ?????? xDHere's my thought on whether or not you use it too much:
Whenever you learn something new...
Step 1. Practice it 'til you can do it successfuly 90% of the time.
Step 2. Spam it in friendlies until you find out when it's useful and when it isn't.
Step 3. Profit.
I'm smarter than underwear stealing gnomes.theres a step 2? usually its just ?????? xD
I dont think its harder to shieldgrab. You just have adjust your timing on the shieldgrabs. It took me a while to get used to the luigi ditto buffer style since I had to adjust my spacing/precision/timing etc. But it's nice to mix it up.I've known how to do it since the beginning of the SIMPLE Ladder, and I used it sparingly during, but today I felt I would spam it for the sake of learning just like you.
EDIT: BTW, since you're the only person that's done it on me, I JUST realized how difficult it is to Shield Grab FFADs. This might be a nice tactic against DDD.
I know you hate math hippster, but if you take a look it from a frame by frame perspective you'll see it IS somewhat harder to Shield Grab a FFAD than an nAir.I dont think its harder to shieldgrab. You just have adjust your timing on the shieldgrabs. It took me a while to get used to the luigi ditto buffer style since I had to adjust my spacing/precision/timing etc. But it's nice to mix it up.
You know how we're used to doing Short Hop to dAir and then nAir? Instead of doing an nAir, you do a FFAD (Fast Fall Air Dodge, just like Player01 said) instead. It takes some getting used to, but when you've got it, it's another way to spice up Luigi's Short Hop approach game.What... is an FFAD?...
