I'm trying to use these textures on Dolphin, but when I use Winimage (Trial) to move the files into my virtual SD card, it keeps discluding some stages because they're too large or something. It works fine without the texture set. This is one of my first times loading PM with Dolphin, so their might be some things I missed. Can anyone help me?
I honestly have no idea what to tell you. These costumes shouldn't affect programs in that way. Have you tried adding the stages back one by one? A possibility is that the Digital SD card is too small (I think; this is all unfamiliar territory for me)

A possible solution, is to install the textures into your .iso and use them that way, but that's obviously not what you're looking for.

And for those curious, I put the original Best Typo Ever back with the edited form below so you can see where I goofed.

EDIT: And I forgot to mention, SJS' Portrait thread has new buttons for Projects. My Vibrant Project is included, and there, you can find all of the portraits currently completed (BP's too). You'll be pleased to know that Wolf & Lucario have just recently been completed.

That's a good link Shun.

You must be tired

EDIT: Good stuf Taiko, I look forward to them as well. Y'all two really do make a devastating duo, including SJS that's a trifling trio!

I thought you guys should get word of this first since your all so awesome. The scrapped 2.6 Ike Easter egg is still here in 2.6b, it's triggered through pressing the taunt button after inputting forward smash. Just letting you know, if you didn't already.
Edit: And I think it's about time I extended my thanks to Taiko. I love your Diddy to the point of madness. I love the consistency, the revamped recolors, the DKCR: Tropical Freeze reference......everything! It's truly a welcome addition to the other Vibrant Textures.
Moar Edits: Thanks for the new Pit voice Shun! I can only take so much of his VBrawl Victory Voice..............YOU CAN'T DEFEAT ME!!!!!!!!!!!

In case I was being incoherent, this is a screenshot of my situation.

EDIT: Fixed

Looks like the files took you over the limit for your digital SD card. I assume you downloaded the main pack, yes?

It's possible to reduce the file-size by using the non-rim lit versions of Mario, Bowser, Peach, Luigi, Marth, and Ike; Rim Lit files are slightly bigger than normal characters. I doubt this will help you much, but it's worth trying.

You can also try building an sd card with the files already in it instead of injecting them into one.

Alright, portrait stuff. When making them, I realized I had used the wrong file for the old ones too, which made them darker than the stock Brawl ones I had made. So, I've updated the old ones as well, here's everything!

One more thing, since Shun didn't update the Flying Mario's skin to be consistent with the rest of the textures, here's a fix I made. It only changes his face to be the same vibrancy as the other faces, otherwise it's the same texture.

Yeah, I fixed it. It helped, thanks!

Hey Shun, how exactly did you get those 3DS Pit SFX? Would there be any hope to get some STAR FOX 64 3D SFX into Brawl? I just think that the "Cant let you do that", Wolf clip is too good NOT to have in Project M.

I ripped 'em myself by using the most boot-leg audio ripping stuff in existence. I used a two way stereo cable and plugged one end into my 3DS' head-phone jack, then the other into my laptops microphone jack. Then I used Audacity to record the audio while I played through chapters with sfx and music turned off. It was very tedious.

I can't get Star Fox 64 3D sounds because I don't have the game (or my cable for that matter).

I think I was on the verge of mailing my copy to you personally before you mentioned the cable part. XD
Umm, did you read that custom texture post of mine? The thread was HOT when it was sent so I don't know if you ever came across it.

It may be ghetto, but that's really smart, if frustrating.

If BV doesn't have it already, I say we start a fundraiser. haha

The Vault doesn't have any sound files of 64 itself, SFX or Music, and multiple searches of the internet have yielded no results for SFX. Weird.

With or without SFX, this project gets even better every single day!

If I get a hold of the cable, I wouldn't mind skimming the game until I can catch the quote. Though, fundraising to help me buy Brawl hacking equipment? That'd be great.

Also, I jotted down everyone's requests as soon as they made them, so I got yours too, Raccoon (or do you prefer Chuck :p).

I was shocked no one had tried KIU Pit. The lack of SF 64 SFX mods in general is kind of confusing. Maybe I'll see if I can do something about that...

And thanks!

And thanks to you too Taiko, for being awesome and helping me clean up some stuff I should have a while ago

Has anyone tried loading the Lucario skins on Dolphin? Whenever I try to load them (using the pack bundle) Dolphin keeps on crashing. At first I thought it was the texture files so I deleted them, but it still crashed. Then I thought it was the motion pac and the original FitLucario pac that was weird, so I replaced it with the original files from the projectmgame.com website. But it still crashed, so I figured the original files itself were corrupted. But when I loaded the original, unedited, untouched version of the game, it didn't crash, so something must have happened when I either merged the files or the files itself are not compatible with Dolphin. I'm using the Homebrew Download pack from the project M website btw.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Again, I got no idea how to help you. I have little experience with Dolphin in general (and my laptop can't even run it smoothly) so I'm unable to provide assistance even though I want to.

Hey Shun, I am currently working on a BRSTM pack but as soon as I am done I am transitioning to the world of character textures as I plan on making a lumberjack theme (except for the mario trio who are going to get lobster men overalls.) Anyway the rim lighting looks fantastic and I would want to keep that if at all possible. Is it something that you add after or is in a separate file? If you don't want to divulge your secrets I understand, but you do make the best looking textures out there.

I'm flattered by the compliment.

The rim lighting comes from mods made by Mewtwo2000 of which, you can find in his vault. So long as you make your texture edits to any file that already has rim lighting, you'll be able to maintain it. The Vibrant hacks that have rim lighting are made by me simply swapping the textures of Mewtwo2000's rim lit characters with my own vibrant textures.

Gawsh! I cannot stop staring at that Purple Ike... Sooooo delicious!

I have some other cBliss recolors I'm gonna upload soon... Been lagging it something terrible because doing all the other things. Zelda, Sheik, Sonic, Falco and Pikachu have all been done for quite some time... Although I may just decide to revisit some of them (definitely gonna take a look at Pikachu... I wanna do some different color furs but I don't seem to really like any of the ones that I've come up with although Galaga made some good ones..!) Probably just gonna do what Taiko suggested and make recolored hats... and/or possibly additional hats... which is what I'd done at first but I wanna do it a bit differently. Maybe get a little more creative with Pika's tail.

Hey Shun,

I'm curious what kind of stage list/textures you are using? If it's good, I'm sure many people would be interested in having your whole pack.

Competitively speaking, it is not good and I am 90% certain no one would want it. With stages, I'm not too terribly concerned with how they play so long as I can have fun while fighting. Weird stage shenanigans? Just another way to enjoy playing in my book. That said, my stage list is primarily straight up vBrawl stages. If you're curious for more, I can sift through it and offer a more in-depth explanation.

I still can`t believe how fast you do these.
I'm going fast? Thought I was going slow personally.

I can't check them right now, but I can definitely say that they were working fine when I uploaded them. I'll look into it. Wait, are you using the ones from "The Pack" or not? Something may have gone wrong when they were uploaded if that's the case.

The full pack textures worked fine for me, but yes, I did have some issues with the seperate download for Lucario. I hope that this feedback can assist you, Shun.

I actually had the same problems with Lucario, but I got it from the pack.

Thanks.

I just re-uploaded the files and noticed there was some bizarre difference in file-size. The newly updated files should work, but I only tested them in vBrawl. I see no reason not to.

I can attest that the seperate download is working for me now. I ran it on a clean copy of 2.6.B.
