My opinion is that I don't give a damn.

My concern is the twerps that are suddenly going to change characters based on the tier list. Bunch of back stabbers.

I'm sticking with my mains regardless of their tier position. I am not a fan of maining a character because of their tier placement.

Why's that? I mean, why? WHY.

It's smash bros, you choose Character you absolute love, and learn how to play them. (Luigi&Robin)
Or you learn character because their playstyle suites you. (Shulk&Luigi)
Why does anyone get their kicks from playing a character where nothing of both applies? Won't get diddi/shiek spam get boring and dull?


Edit: I mean, I'm happy because Luigi and Shulk are both fairly high, but who cares? I know just get (whined?) about playing high tier character. -.-

Well, actually it's more like that sort of mentality will cause stagnation in the metagame.

Why bother to learn when I can go for the best of the best instead?

In fact, that's a criticism I have with this fanbase in general. On the competitive side it's always subtraction. Instead of adding things or adapting that can fix problems, instead it's embraced begrudgingly like a woman with an abusive boyfriend and everyone jumps on the bandwagon. You can actually become better if you stick with what you know, learning through raw experience what works and what doesn't, and I do believe it is perfectly possible to do in this game in particular.

Now in my case I'm in a position where I'm not forced to change since in terms of position I'm in a perfectly workable spot, but for others I do applause those fighters born in a world of strife yet against the odds they choose to fight.

I only see tier lists as indicative as to how much information I can find about that character and how many people are interested in bringing out their potential (the former case being more likely).

With that said I'm at least glad there's going to be a wealth of info on the characters I primarily use (Shulk, Robin, Marth) and wish the best of luck to anyone working on developing the metagame of any character that aren't often seen in tournament play.

Hey Xenoblade guys, I will be at a convention in march and wanted to do a Shulk cosplay of his beach boy costume ( we actually want to do a Smash group cosplay there), so I'm searching for a wig and a shorts I could use. Any recommandations like anime characters with similiar hair? Do you know of any shops that make custom underwear or do you know a place to buy one that is kinda similiar? maybe someone can stitch the details onto it when it is the right color and size.
Would be thankful for any help!

Shizuo Heiwajima from Durarara!! has a pretty similar hairstyle. You can find wigs for him online. As for the underwear, idk if you can get custom underwear anywhere, but here's a few boxer briefs I found for you on jc penny that might work.

It would be great if you had a Monado too... but making one out of pink foam (what cosplayers usually use) would take a lot of effort I think. Maybe you could make a cheap one out of cardboard though. No idea that would work, just an idea I had a while ago.

The wig seems to be really fitting for this. I think I will buy one of these shorts and put the details on it myself if I won't find a more fitting color. As for the Monado, I have a really talented friend who will craft it from scratch with wood. Hope he makes it in time. I also got a fitting necklace for the cosplay. Thanks for the help dude!

Considering he isn't going to be the protagonist and isn't likely to be in any more Xenoblade games I really worry about the future of Shulk in Smash Brothers. He could have the same fate as Lucas and not return in any more smash games. It appears the best hope for Shulk is for him to become a legendary icon of the Smash Series much like Captain Falcon and even he himself was much speculated to be possibly cut in Smash Bros 4 and it was so important that Nintendo had to make it official he returned in one of the trailers. I know it's probably too early to be thinking of this, but considering he's pretty major and doesn't have any likely games coming out where he is major in which puts him heavily at risk much like the fate of Wolf. Only time will tell if Shulk reappears.

How Disney maintains their hot consistency with all their movies, I will never know. Winter Soldier, Frozen, Big Hero 6, Guardians of the Galaxy were all AMAZING.

Wait until you see Sheik's f-air. It's horrible nightmare to go against. It's extremely fast. You'll get fair'd repeatedly. It's ultra safe. I don't even know my options against f-air. It's almost as disgusting as Diddy's u-air. I'm sure somebody here or outside this boards might argue that it is even more disgusting and I probably won't object anyway because I don't care. I hate both Sheik's f-air and Diddy's u-air.

I've been playing Kingdom Heart 2.5 lately and I'm reminiscing about a lot of Disney movies. Also despite being a 22 year old male.

I wanna go back and watch Mulan, The Lion King, Aladdin... I'm also realising I don't think I've seen Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast(maybe?), Cinderella... If the live action thing is happening I'd totally watch that.

Marth and Ike were only in a few games - and you also have the Doc who is a clone and was in basically one game and two remakes. And R.O.B. who was in two horrible games and got in on "Saved the gaming industry" cred.

So we'll just have to see. But we will have another Smash title, with or without Sakurai. This series sells consoles singlehanded.
