You might want to remove Show Your self and replace it with Mail Time

I know you have a life out side of these forums but i would like to see SMYN life span stretch even further then the release date of brawl, you can give highlights like recent tourney winners, new techniques with brawls new physics etc... As Captian planet would say "THE POWER IS YOURS!"

But once Brawl is released you could always make it monthly / fortnightly... doing the styff Moon Monkey said and possibly branching out of the Smash bros area.

I mean look on You tube there are load of Melee things that are still going strong like the history of Smash bros.

I think that a monthly SMYN is very feasible post-release, but we'll definitely see what happens.

As for this week, it's going to be delayed slightly, probably released in four-five hours or so (from this timestamp)...I'm super-busy, and there's a lot of work and several changes that are going into this podcast.

But don't worry, it's going to be quite long, i'd be guessing roughly 45-50 minutes - the Roundtable is really quite great, I think you all will be quite pleased!

somebody added some stuff to the wiki page. whoever it was, i cleaned it up. i like the controversy section, but some stuff was unecessary, like the capt. olimar for an assist trophy. it's youko's opinion, and doesn't reflect the podcast

however, stuff like Who's In and the audio format actually is the podcast itself and therefore was just cleaned up

so whoever it was, just to let you know in the future

regarding final roster predictions: Nobody is right except Sakurai himself.


My final roster predictions have changed a lot since the original trailer and will keep changing with each update.

Disregarding the pro- or anti statements that can be made regarding characters, so far Sakurai hasn't dissapointed with his newcommers yet (in my eyes) and I believe he won't do so in the future.

When saying that "x could be an AT" you need to remember;

Lyn and Samurai Goroh where two of the standard characters to be seen in early roster images people made, they ended up as assist; and although I doubt many more plausible playable characters will share their faith, it can be argued that it will happen to some other popular choices.

I'm as pro-ridley as can be, and he's currently my number 1 unrevealed character choice, but I aknowledge very well that he could just as well turn out to be a boss.


In my eyes any opinion regarding a character is good, as long as it's based on something; and as far as I understood, Sariku Uchiha did that; (though I do believe he made a slip up regarding Dedede's 1st time)

Sometimes it may not sound that pleasant to hear criticism regarding your favorite character's probability to be playable, but if it's based on reasoning, I don't see how that's a bad thing.

(Sorry if this was too off-topic, but it was mostly regarding Sariku's podcast and Kentalicious his reaction to it)

That aside, I really hope the podcast is posted soon, if it takes more than an hour I'll probably have to go to sleep before it's out and it'll take a whole schoolday before I can listen to it :'(

Sariku has the voice of an 11-year old boy and makes the smash community look bad. When people listen to the podcast, they will think the community is filled with a bunch of losers.

We need people with listenable voices like Youko.

Wow, this went right under my radar. I spent so long, bitter and angry about the lack of Smashcast from KK, Mic, and Scav that I had almost given up on podcasts, and even iPods altogether. I stumbled upon this, and I'm currently downloading all of them.

Oh gosh no....don't bring up the CD-I Link *screams* but I do agree we definitly won't know who will be in. I mean Sakurai has been throwing mind bombs with Lyn not being playable, PT is....Devil a japan-only character as an assist trophy...the Subspace Emissary altogether....it's downright plausible that any character can be included now.

Which BTW i think some of the SE enemies are based off of characters reigning around the Nintendo world

Poppant = Well, this is a very far bet, but when I saw this I thought it looks like one of those Bulky Vendors from Kingdom Hearts 2...don't flame, just speculating because they give a prize/candy and run away when someone is nearby. Not basing off appearance

Bytan = Pokeball's with faces

Trowlon = Reminds me of those R.C. Cars from the Wet-Dry World of Super Mario 64 I mean on how they attack

Shaydas = IDK....truthfully it doesn't surprise me or make me think of anyone else...Scyther?

Auroros = Almost looks exactly like the Dragoon from Kirby Air Ride...

and I don't have to go over the R.O.B. Squad at all

Greap = Someone said this might be a nod to the Grim Reaper from Kid Icarus

If you own an original gameboy and super mario land 2, or have played this entirely;

In the "Mini zone" (a.k.a house zone ) there's a few weird witch/thief-looking guys holding hearts or different items (It could just be hearts)

They don't do damage and die upon impact, and the moment they appear on screen they run like hell.

In terms of gameplay mechanics they appear to be - a lot - like Poppant, as it's described a coward and all that.

And Super Smash Master, I entered one, and I couldn't tell if i sounded like a little kid, or a wierd old creepy dude [and I'm 16]. That's wat you get for entering it when you just had food poisioning. Which is funny, cuz people think I'm older then I am, lol. [a lot older, some of the times]

And no one cares about voice, since the mic heavily nerf your voice. If you heard yourself, you'd say "woaw". I heard mine over the mic, and was like "WTF?", not that I have a bad mic or anything, I just found it odd sounding compared to my voice.

And CD-i Link definitely has a GREAT CHANCE! Definitely!

I, too, would love to hear your feedback on the Roundtable, and any comments or suggestions would be great. We had a few problems with the program (which Ive fixed... after we recorded it) so hopefully it will get even better as time goes on.

By the way, if Im not mistaken, that song, or one very similar to it, is from Cowboy Bebop.
