That would suck for Isaac. But I trust Vergeben the least out of all these insiders. And that info conflicts with Mystic's and some others. (who said that Isaac's in)
So, take it as you will, but at the very least it balances out

I said I trust him the LEAST. As in, I acknowledge that he's had some things correct, like anyone should, but he doesnt know **** for everything. Some of his sources are probably wrong or he's too much of a douche to come clean, and makes some stuff up. (wait.. douches are for cleaning,.. oh well ;p)

At this point I would take these statements with a grain of salt. The Grinch leak has been at a standstill for a while, various "insiders" have conflicting information and, despite all the hoopla that's happened this past week,
WE LEARNED NOTHING.
I'll probably just hide myself in a bunker and cry as I have a lab that oh so conveniently overlaps the direct.

OK, so we are all publicly making lists...
1) Shantae (obviously)
2) Dixie Kong (I'd say she deserves it more than anyone at this point and during the ballot she was tied with Shantae in my heart)
(anything after this is just icing and i don't expect the others to show up, but if we are wishing)
3) Viridi as a Young Link style Palutena echo. (Medusa would work too, but between the two I would rather have Viridi)
4) Master Higgins (never happening, but I love the guy and he was created so they could put the Wonder B|oy games on Nintnendo consoles)
And 5) Luxray (also never happening as there are countless amounts of more popular pokemon in line ahead of him, but wishes are for the impossible and I want my lighting lion gaddammit!)

Arguing about this leak will get us nowhere, but I will state that I think Vergaben is a hack who has simply made some lucky guesses. He probably hasn't had any credible info since E3.
We only have one more day to wait. It's not over until Sakurai sings.

I do admit now that we're so close it's relieving. I do want this phase to be over and to move on to enjoying what we get.
I still want shantae of course, but I'm ready to move along too.

Not too much, although a ton of people started to get rather negative...
I think recently, though, people are starting to feel like it has some critical flaws, and could be disproved on Thursday.

Still surprisingly hopeful all things considered, aside from Connor who straight up jumped ship and is now hoping Shantae gets AT'd just to have Banjo in. Ironic after how negatively he reacted to the mere suggestion she could get AT'd before.

Yup. But right now I'm holding out for information on dlc in the direct, or at least confirming info for shantae.
If not, I'll deal with it when it comes to it
(It's relieving right now to at least think it could be finalized for us.)

Oof, yeah, I can see us getting newcomers and then end with Sakurai talking about the first DLC fighter. I forgot that even if she's not in basegame she might really be DLC but I'm trying to keep my expectations tempered so when the direct rolls around it'll sting a little less.
I think I'm just really tired, this hype cycle has worn me out something awful.

Sorry about my rather harsh absence, but with the toxicity flowing through here, there'd be no way I could be mentally safe here. At least until the Direct came up and helped fan away the poison.
On the flipside, I made a meme image that caused an explosion over on Twitter.
Funny enough, we did have a fake image pop up on the Shantae Discord, but I was able to disprove it nigh-instantly because of the smoke colors being basically painted on.

It was pretty crazy with so many people buying into it. But now with everything the insiders are saying, the leak is said to be fake by a lot of them (if not most), so it comes down to what you want to believe, or take the conflicting stuff as more reason to just remain open, and let sakurai show us what's the real deal
Do what you need to do, but I dont think there's a need to 'lower' expectations. Can temper them just by leaving it open and accepting whatever the result will be
(at least, that's my advice, if it's possible for others to use it.)

My chances have changed quite a bit.
It's now 32% AT or "lower" ala Trophies or Stickers, 33% Base, and 34% DLC, with a 1% chance that I'm a complete lunatic and that she's somehow not in the game in any form.

I have the boy on ignore so I don't see anything he says. Ever. Either way... Personally, I think Vergeben is a load of crock. I think he just sees a lot of things, read between the lines and does some very good guesses after process of elimination.
