I think they look very, very good! Since they're 2d, they probably wont be used for official Smash work, but they could very easily be alternate costume references! I think they would be absolutely perfect for alt skins for when Shantae joins the battle.

It's not a good argument though. Creators create them, but they stand on their own as characters (and games).
Shovel knight got pretty popular, but popularity isn't everything. (and I dont think they're that far off anyway)

Overall as a character over multiple games, I think Shantae is greater, for many reasons, but I dont think we need to debate it or prove it to those who have their eyes closed out of saltiness or whatever. (not to say some people can't try to show how awesome she and her games are, and there's different ways to approach that)

Considering my girl Daisy is interracting with someone ideed, who else could it be ?
It could be a comedic bad guy who who'd get kicked out, I don't see any good guy doing this same move.
Or another good girl who's not too serious for that sh*t ( exit Elma, Medusa... ).
I could also see Dixie filling that role but... meh

what bothers me most is that daisy isn't looking at anything in particular in that pose. without something to focus on, shes seemingly just blankly staring at the air while swaying her booty around. if I were to draw something like that, I wouldn't place her eyes like that. wether it be shantae or not, shes GOTTA be staring at someone within close proximity of her! As an artist I just cant....

I agree but there's ways of portraying this without the implications. The Luigi/Castlevania trailer by comparison isn't anywhere near as bad.

But, okay, I'll give them that one. They were using Corrin to promote Fates in the west so they wanted to use the male avatar because most gamers are male. That doesn't justify the decision, but it does make it more understandable.

So, other than the "leaked" direct date for some day between Nov. 5 and Nov. 12, there is actually a rather high chance of Smash-related news on, or by November 2nd due to the tournament. Nintendo recently started a countdown-stream/upload, so it seems like they are really pushing for people to watch it.

Not confirmed, but it seems like they are pushing it pretty hard.

It might be interesting to see how it would all work, and it might actually be a ton of fun.

Okay, sure. Now, I don't want all of the Shantae portions of Spirits Mode to take place in Scuttle Town, because Sequin Land is so varied, there'd be a whole host of wasted opportunities there. Personally, I wanna see places like Spiderweb Island, Zombie Caravan and Hypno Baron's Castle make an appearance for... obvious reasons, but that's pretty unlikely, unfortunately. Somewhere like the Counterfeit Mermaid factory would be cool, though.

Boss fight wise, yeah, those three are the most likely, but I'd also like to see a battle against the Pirate Master. Also, I want to have a chance to beat up the Empress Spider again, after what it did to my poor, poor baby girl....

This is such a common thing these days that it's part of the reason I almost always pick a female avatar for a game where you can create your own character. That includes FE Fates and Awakening. And speaking of Awakening, I technically have my whole Awakening family in Ultimate now that Chrom has broken out of being in a FS. Chrom, Robin(F), and their baby girl. ^_^

So I just wanted to bring one thing up since we are on the topic of Incineroar and certain insiders are claiming Incineroar is in. I’ve been looking closely at the mural and there is one odd thing I noticed. With all these characters on the mural, none of them have much if any space next to them except for one who appears to be interacting with someone who is not there...Daisy! To show you exactly what I’m talking about I’ll post a pic of the current mural and the “leak”

As you all can see that area is still strangely open for someone to be placed there and it appears that Daisy is interacting with someone as many of the other characters on the mural are too. This is just something weird that I haven’t seen anyone talk about so I wanted to post it since people are wondering where Incineroar is, assuming Incineroar wasn’t leak bait.

Edit: Also look at the space between Link and Shadow! Link can easily be moved slightly up and to the left without blocking anyone to make more space for that section.

From the Isaac thread. Someone made an interesting discovery regarding the Grinch leak. I remember you guys speculating about the possibility of Shantae interacting with Daisy and there is a possibility of another character fitting in that spot in case this if this a real leak and the banner is incomplete. Just a fun theory
