Second, i've said it before...assist trophy is not a death sentence. Ashley, Midna, and Knuckles....and even Waluigi... could still possibly be fighters, as we do not know Sakurai's stance on promoting fighters during a single games era.

Hello there. I've been lurking on here for about a few months now and I would like to be put on the support list. I think Shantae has the potential to be a fighter in Smash.

Now as for that banner leak that's been floating about, I'm leaning a bit more on fake since Shadow looks a little off and there is no shadows where Wario and Olimar are. Also I've seen you talk about KOS-MOS being on there. I would like to clarify that it is NOT KOS-MOS. It's just the clouds from the banner plus R.O.B. being there.

I've been playing maplestory 2 all week, can someone tell me why this leak is somehow more credible than the heaps of other blurry photo leaks?

Everyone calm down. I'm just as apprehensive about this as all of you and honestly I don't know whether to believe this or not. It looks convincing but its shady source and shoddy quality (Seriously, "**** Nintendo?" Suspiciously blurrier than Missouri swamp water?) still leaves me doubts. Regardless, until we see some real evidence Shantae is not in the game, there is nothing to worry about, whether she gets in as base or DLC.

Jokes aside, the images in question involve an actual French company that works in advertising, and that includes work with Bandai Namco. The employee who's name was in the image has also been identified.

There are also advertising materials for the new Grinch that can be seen. If its fake, then we have to assume this person created fake promotional material for the Grinch to go along with a Smash leak which while still technically possible is extremely unlikely.

Thus far, the renders of the supposed newcomers appear to be completely new. There's also an image of the background without any of the characters as well which we haven't seen before either.

There's more to it, and there'll likely be more (for and against it mind you) as people dig, but for now that's what I remember off the top of my head.

He could of faked it just so he could get a better job. Just saying.

The blurriness is a big issue. People say "if course it's blurry, it's a screenshot for a video" to which I would say "why not pay the video then?" This character element wants to stick it to Nintendo, and didn't try to hide his information so he's either not afraid or too stupid to think it would be an issue, so why not just post the actual video? Even if the video quality want much better, it would still be a harder thing to have and this would help his case more. So why not? This alone makes think the blurriness is there to hide a lack of polish and consistency in the added characters.

Also there are many things that could be explained other ways. For example maybe this guy is real and his company does have unreleased Grinch advertisement materials. He could say "hey I could make a leak that's completely fake and 'accidentaly' include this in the real thing to give my leak credence" Also. If everyone was able to confirm such an employee exists, then a leader could have found a real person and used them as the identity for their leak to give it more weight.

Lastly, real or fake (it's fake but for sake of argument) this thread is a Shantae SUPPORT thread. If you believe this leak, fine. If you believe it and it makes you think Shantae can't be playable now, fine. But do it elsewhere. You are doing anyone any favors by trying to "convince" others or"save them future disappointment" you only make those who haven't given up dislike you being here.

I can't blame anyone for giving up, everyone had their own thresholds, but I can't abide people losing hope and feeling the only thing left is to take others hope with them.

If you don't believe, that's fine. Don't bother us with your "well we might as well face it..." or "I'm glad it's over" or anything like that. Feel it yourself and don't bother the rest of us with it.

I want everyone here to be able to get along and have fun discussing the possibilities, but people who lose hope but need others to give up with them help nothing.

Holy God, what a mess these last few pages have been. If course I'm not taking about everyone, but it really shows what a little negativity can do.

Don't let Nega-Shantae win people! I swear this situation is almost exactly the result she was hoping for in her machinations during Friends to The End.
