They'd most likely be echos, which are real easy to put in.
But there being no new pokemon rep would be very interesting and odd.

What I want to see is the debates between the verge fans and believers of this new leak :O

Welp, if that recent rumor is indeed true, Shantae still has a chance for DLC if she isn't an AT. It's not over until it's over.

Further supported because, since the guy is a graphic designer, he could have faked it if he wanted to, and he has the know-how to do so. He may work somewhere associated with Bandai, but that doesn't mean he got this from Bandai.


There's also a possible case of "Fake the Smash leak, grab Grinch promo material to make it seem real". Not confirmed to be what happened, but it is an option if it is fake.

If there is any legitimacy to this leak at all, we will likely get news very soon.

Personally, I am still holding on that it is fake, and we will probably get a debunk the next direct if it is indeed fake.

I'm just a bit taken aback at the thread's continual in-fighting. Every time we've gotten anything, be it actual news, or just more leaks (regardless of quality at that) people start stressing, some freak out, supporters start lashing out at each other. It's kind of disheartening.

It's the internet, disagreements are going to happen, but I can't help but feel some are a bit too invested in the speculation to the point of being kind of detrimental to to their own mental state and the thread's cohesion.

Y'know the reason I'm not placing my bets on dlc is simply because it'll most likely take ****ing FOREVER for the first batch of dlc to drop. Like, if that's the ONLY way Shantae gets in then fine but you know that extra wait is gonna be pretty agonizing, at least for someone who has NONE of their requested characters in the base game. Also since this is being touted as the ULTIMATE Smash Bros I have no doubt in my mind that Sakurai is trying to fit as much as he possibly can into the base game so it's likely we won't even hear any word of dlc until a couple of months into the game's life cycle. Sorry for the rant but I'd rather not think about dlc until we know everything about the base game.

I have noticed this too. Anytime a non-shantae thing appears some people get super defensive or angry ant anyone else. We all support shantae despite what we post. I think some users need to relax and calm down though

I was looking at the image, and can anyone see pichu well in the blurry one? I doubt nintendo would put him up so close with pikachu's lightning or tail in a clean final image.

Well Geno is supposed to be a toy puppet. She he was marios size in RPG, but so was bowser, so Sakurai could make him Kirby size for this game

I can see Pichu just fine actually, his position changed very little. As for Geno, I think it has more to do with the perspective of the shot. He looks small because he's further back and if anything, he's still comparable to Ness or Pac-Man's size which would be appropriate imo. Aside from beong blurry, I don't really see anything out of place in regards to Mega Man.

It does look odd, though I suppose it's possible, if they are ok with covering some things.
I think the shape of his head looks a bit off too though, compared to the originals (even if it's zoomed out a bit, or even resized or everyething's squished a little)

As much as I enjoy the characters highlighted in the leak... I'm not going to give up hope on our girl. I will continue showing my support for her being part of the base roster until the game is out and if she's not in... I'll simply hope for her as DLC.

This image would leave out a new pokemon as well as Bandana dee, which a lot of people thought would be shoe ins (for different reasons).

It has big ones like Isaac and Geno, which could make a lot of fans happy, and leave others in the dust.
I dont like this leak. Though it shows verge wrong as well as more characters than people thought, on the up side.

It could maybe give more hope for more characters as dlc, considering the amount, and also some other stuff ive seen about characters being cut.
But I still dont like it
