basically it is, would be nice when smash 4 comes out that we could all go back to using xat chat. I remember the good ol days when we sat and watched rush hour 1-3 and the lion king. And back when bionic was learning how to get streams working in the xat for us.

he will probably be one of the last round picks, as if you don't main sonic then you really don't understand how to use him properly, with the other characters (at least from brawl and melee) you can pick them and use them to relative success if your good.

I'm planning to camp out the night before for Best Buy. I'm going to determine what I do based on how many times I'll be able to play. I'd like to **** around with a new character but my curiosity for Sonic is pretty tempting. I'll play it by ear. Part of me is also afraid of picking up Sonic and finding out I can't shield cancel and then only being able to think about that.

If I can't spinshot or shield cancel it's likely that I won't be playing him.

as long as i can spin dash into footstool so i can instant Dair meteor smash then spring wall i'll be happy. As his spring (at least) in the video seemed to keep moving after it hit marth thus i could become very troublesome for offstage opponents, unless they changed it.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to footstool out of a spindash, considering I'm sure that you can still jump out of a spindash. The only variable will be how his dair meteor will work.

Let's not forget the priorities, people. The cith combo must live on.

It's actually hard to imagine playing Sonic without spinshot too. Shield cancels are my top priority though. One of them needs to return. But ultimately I'll just adapt... Yep...

Does anyone else have their number one priority set on a non-tech mechanic? I need to know how Roger Craig Smith is going to say "You're too slow!"

That is also a hot topic. There's a lot riding on that. It could make or break his career as Sonic.

I'm currently trying to switch shifts at my job so I can also go through my findings of the game. Such as discovering new little things with Sonic. I see a lot of you guys will be doing that too. Hope we find some cool stuff.

The worst thing is that like, this is still an unfinished demo version... So no guarantees that anything we find out is even going to be in the game.

Sonic's got a new Down smash thats like fox's and his dash attack seems to be a multi-hit, also his upsmash and bair seem stronger. I'm still curious what was done to his spin attacks.

This one has down-B and side-B. They both still exist. This game changes the timing of transitions between several moves, but Sonic's moveset as a whole is pretty much the same; maybe just a different "style" to it. KC24 you're right about the dash attack, that's new.

But yeah, new Dsmash looks pretty dope. All in all the Sonic changes seem pretty solid.

Also all about the anime Palutena reveal. They finally put my two favorite things together: Smash and anime girls.

I'm honestly hype as **** for Pac. Sonic's always my main boy, but I may have to pick up a true secondary here.

There's actually a few characters I'm really excited to try out this time around.

I went to the Best Buy demo today and got a few games in. Some interesting new stuff with sonic. Spindashes are godlike now but no shield cancels out of ASC. A lot of new tech seems possible, i found some neat stuff already. Recorded all my matches, I'm uploading them to youtube and I'll post them along with some obvious buffs/nerfs I found on the smash 4 sonic forum, so check it out there in a bit.

Dair seems to spike after the inital hitbox comes out and that new dsmash is pretty strong though bair seems to hit faster and harder it has worse landing lag

Played the smash demo as Sonic of course so some new things i visualized.

F-smash comes out 3 times faster than the old one in Brawl. His f-smash is stronger, killing medium characters at 80% if they are on the edge of the stage even with DI. I legit killed a bowser at 100% with F-smash.

Down Smash is exactly like Fox/Falco's down smash. His tilts are really frigging strong. His Up air has been nerfed dramatically. Did it to a greninja, he didn't die and he was at 171%. His homing attack is really slow but more accurate. His spring doesn't go that high. His bair is stronger. His Up Smash is stronger.

You sure Manny? Spring felt fine to me. Still high enough to auto cancel dair.

After Side-B charging and pushing up to go vertical in the air as a ball, when you hit the ground you will immediately start spin dashing instantly forward.

Spin shot is still in the game (From the ground anyway, forgot to check from mid-air).

His side taunt now says "Super Sonic!" in a stupid voice, his down taunt says "Come on!", and up Taunt is the same.
