I've been playing the version with the stage edits, I really like the stage edits, especially Fourside and Green Greens. Thanks for that "sdremix_troubleshooter".

However, I've been trying to add some of Internet Explorer's codes (namely the "White Flash on L Cancel" and "Boot to Character Select Screen") into SD Remix, but I've had a lot of trouble. I successfully compiled the codes into a .gct file using Ocarina, but I don't know where to put said file in order for DIOS MIOS to load them. Can anyone help me out?

Do you have v1.0 of melee?

If you do I got a main.dol of the flash on L cancel.

This should be it, just replace with this dol instead of the one in the guide.

DVD built with modified stages actually crashes on my wii (after select any stage). Rebuilding ISO with the original (final) release files now...

EDIT: both (modified stages version and release version) crashes on my wii after choosing any stage. No hope. Turning back to demo 2.1...

T_T
Crashes on wii actually reported.

So, is there a way to play this with a vanilla Wii or Gamecube? I don't have Homebrew, but I'd like to try out the game. Sorry if I missed the answer somewhere else.

Still no Dolphin version? Do you guys have the files for 1.0?
SD Remix Final Revision with Modified Stages:
USB version - http://www.mediafire.com/?m1ni8kvlu27fzjc
DVD version - http://www.mediafire.com/?t51wfzgdx1l5p9u

Modified Stages (all made by Milun):
Yoshi's Island N64
Fourside
Green Greens

Please test. Thank you.
I assume Ripple is no longer supporting the project and is straying from responsibility. DVD version is same as Dolphin version.

It is easy to set-up homebrew on a Wii safely. Try http://please.hackmii.com/. It will set-up homebrew channel for you with little effort. Then you can use SD Remix installation guide to install SD Remix.

This site confuses me (I'm far more technically illiterate than I should be). Is the MAC Address found in the Wii settings? Which "wire" do I click on? What is being "bundled" with the HackMii installer?
Sorry for the barrage of questions.

Yes, MAC Address is found in Wii settings -> Internet (page 2) -> Console Information
Click any wire; it's a pop-culture reference and nothing more
Homebrew Channel and BootMii are bundled but you only need to install Homebrew Channel. Nothing in it can damage your Wii.

Reporting again (this is not a complaint, just feedback intended).
I give it a try to this new ISO version but still freezes on Wii, now whenever Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Ice Climbers, Mewtwo, Marth or Link is selected (keeps loading the stage after select it with background music).
(Peach, Ness and Pichu that I reported before now works fine; this time I used the nerfed top tiers instead the normal ones I used before).

I don't know what to say man, there is nothing wrong with the character files that I can see. I just looked them over in my editor. you should find a new starting ISO to build off of

edit: are you using the USB version on dolphin? because that doesn't work at all with some characters. the files are much different for those characters from SD/USB to Dolphin/DVD

Must be me then... T_T
I am using the DVD version with a clean Melee iso (v1.02). I already used it with the previous demo versions...
Could iso tools working bad? Or my Dios Mios 2.6 version?
Crying...

Make sure you are absolutely using a clean, uncorrupted version of the ISO. If you incorrectly applied textures, or accidentally pressed something in your ISO tools that may have modified the TOC (Table of Contents), your ISO may have gone bad.

I doubt it is because of Dios Mios.

I am sure about my iso is totally clean. I used it to create ISOs of the earlier SD Remix demos (2.0 and 2.1) and works fine. I am not applying any textures, not other kind of edited content either. Just SD Remix.

I will give it another try and then tell you what happens... U_U

Reporting again:
I give to install process a try, but now I used a different pc (I bought a laptop recently and rebuild the iso from there) and now works fine. I suspect that some windows libraries cease to work in some way. I even download the required tools several times and all the tries fails until I did it in the different pc. So for all who have problems building the iso, please try the same.

Awesome work SD Remix.
Thanks for all.

The current changelog says this about Falcon's Raptor Boost:
side-b (Hit): no longer falls into SpecialFall, can UpB afterward
But I tested this and that's not the case. You changed that back?

These are usually useful: Here's my md5 checksum of SD Remix (with normal Top Tiers): 77c4b124d06f5ddc59a2a676c23c6577

Definitely, I've been enjoying SD remix thoroughly.
It seemed like the AI was changed slightly from vanilla melee though; am I imagining this or were you somehow able to manipulate it?

You're not alone. I'm almost positive that the AI is different in SD remix.

the AI isn't changed. it's just able to do better moves, faster because of the changes to characters

Does anyone know how I can properly compile the final revision with a PAL ISO to play on Dolphin?

When I try to "Replace DOL" in Gc-tool, it tells me "I can't replace smaller files with a bigger one." Is this a result of the region difference, or something else entirely?

My computer is on the borderline for playing Smash and other GC games, and the difference from trying to play at 60 FPS vs. 50 FPS is pretty significant for performance.

Pretty sure forced frame rate settings are located in the main.dol, so successful replacement wouldn't be able to help your performance issues. SDR was coded on NTSC v1.00 though, and no conversion exists.

Is there no way for Dolphin to force a frame rate?

Interesting. I guess that makes a lot of sense. I know Novi had a PAL ISO with the top tiers nerfed somewhere, but he said he doesn't have it on hand anymore.

There is a limiter in Dolphin, but it wouldn't do anything but force the game to run at less than full speed. No frameskip, unfortunately.
