well the short version is that you yourself even just said sheik dittos were easy; also, they are easier than marth vs sheik

consequently, especially vs any player to whom m2k is clearly superior (almost everyone), no reason not to just use sheik

easy in the sense to play correctly. very few marths play marth v sheik properly, and hell, even sheiks don't play v marth properly (mainly because they've never had to). but m2k has beaten drephen and kdj, so you could say he's pretty good in marth v sheik.

compare that to sheik dittos, when any self-respecting sheik plays sheik dittos pretty well; you would be more apt to lose the latter just due to random fluctuation because there's much less skill involved, so m2k being way better than [insert player] matters less just because it's so much easier to erase that deficit in dittos.
