traditional fighters are cuuuuuute

I'm with you, rickety. Since Guitar Hero 2 is one of the games, there will be PS2's, and wherever there are PS2's, there will be fighting games. I'll bring my copy of SF anniversary for 3s and my arcade stick just in case if we get the chance to play.

Oh yeah, I have Alpha Anthology also, but I'm not a big fan of the Alpha games.
Do you play CVS2? I'll bring that also. Get on AIM! I'll bring my saturn controller :]

Strangely enough, I bought Alpha Anthology, without actually liking the game. Does anybody like Alpha? Alpha 3 is so broken! :-P

Hyper Alpha is a cool idea, though!

I don't play CvS2 much. I've watched a lot match and combo videos and I've played it a couple times and I liked it a lot. I could give it a shot, though, if we have the chance to play...I'm sure I can do alright. A3 IS broken. It's pretty much a Street Fighter Cold War: Both characters start off with full meter, save it, and you pretty much have to wait for your opponent to use it first and strike right after when he/she's open.

A note about projectors: I don't know how many of you have played on a projector, but I've played on a couple, and they both lagged very noticeably. It may be different for different projectors, but don't expect it to be.
Hopefully. I know what you mean though; I've noticed the same thing with some HD plasma screens (two of my buddies' lagged horribly). As long as it isn't direct feed I guess, and just from a T.V. to a projecting unit shouldn't be too bad.

But yeah, the crew match on the jumbo screen would be something. :psycho:

I will soon post directions of how to get from the lodge to the Ballroom. Also, I'll have a system in which 2 Harmony members stay at the lodge to find people there and escort them to the new location, and then they'll switch off with other Harmony members :]

Harmony Triweekly Staff<3

What? Evo has DDR? I should start playing again!
Evo doesn't have DDR, it's a only fighting games (then again, they did have Mario kart DS last year...), but the Winter Gamefest that this triweekly will be a part of includes DDR :]

But no Street Fighter..... :-(

I vote yes for Zack and Issac for Harmony! cuteness! <3333

I wanna smash sometime on Saturday. If anything has anything going on, be sure to give me a call, message me on AIM, or let me know somehow!
I'll check with my parents if I can get something going, I'm in the need for a small smashfest.

You mean the tenth or tomorrow? I don't know what you mean by this saturday. Plus, when does the SAT get out for you? I'm pretty sure you'd be able to make it with the delayed start time for this triweekly.

Well, I talked to Rickety and he said that he would do his best to call our match last if you planned on showing up. And I think it's starting at 1. How long does it take you to get to the venue?

The tri weekly begins at 1:30. Please edit the first post. Also, please edit the first post to tell everyone that the winners of the tournament can only receive their money in check form 5-10 days later. Either I will pick it up for them and next time I see them at a tournament give it to them, or we can have it mailed, their choice. Sorry but it's only for this tri weekly since we're doing it in conjunction with the huge tournaments on campus. It's going to be worth it since this will draw major attention and the atmosphere of the tournament will be that of a sponsored/huge one.

Also, please edit the first post to make the pot split to 60, 30 10, as that is what we did the last two tri weeklies and I think it's the best way to split the pot.

I will post the maps and detailed directions tomorrow.

ONCE AGAIN BRING TVS AND CUBES THIS SATURDAY. WE REALLY REALLY NEED THEM!!!

Also I'm going to have to add a new rule. If you leave to get food or go to the bathroom and your match is called you will be disqualified UNLESS you TELL ME or Rickety first. Just TELL us you won't be around and heck i'll wait 10 minutes just for you. JUST TELL ME YOU"LL BE GONE. If you don't do this, you WILL be disqualified if I can't find you. I won't make exceptions because this was really annoying last time.

I have a cube I can bring with a copy of smash and a memory card with all characters/stages/etc. How do you suggest I mark it so I can distinguish it? Unfortunately, I don't have a TV though. If my parents are magically gone during a Triweekly weekend, I could sometime bring one.

Your memory card, once you bring the gamecube and turn it on, we load up the data once and you keep the memory card in your pocket. That's the best way for that. For your gamecube, you can put a post it note and stick it on the side of the cube. Or you can do what I do and keep a note of your name INSIDE a little slot thing that's under the game cube. You can up the slot and keep something in there. I appreciate if you bring that though!

question

is the triweekly a PART of the winter games fest?

or is it more of a we're holding it together at the same place to draw more attention, other than that we are separate.

You can do that? Wow, that makes things a lot easier.

I've got Thursday and Friday free, anyone want to play some smash those days/nights?
