DGDTJ results are crazy. It's the first national where top 3 has been all Fox players since... ever... God. Spacies are dumb.

I think the flow of Fox goes something like this

So many people used to play Fox so everyone knew the Fox matchup. People got bored of seeing Fox everywhere so they stopped playing as him and instead gave Falco more attention which made people around 2007-2008 bad at the Fox matchup. The dedicated Fox players kept improving tech and Fox came back crazier than before with people not too good at the matchup.

I personally think all of SD are weak against Foxes.

I think it's more just that juangrybox, fly, and axe got upset multiple times at this tourney.

And hmm my favorite match up is probably Fox. And probably my best one too... well maybe second, after Falco. But yea, after playing with Sunny a crap ton for an entire year, I don't think I'm Fox weak at all O_O Unless you mean character choices. Then yea, both my chars get ***** by Fox, and most of SD too I guess.

in the end though, Fox is not easy to play. Combofood, predictable recovery, large amount of tech skill required to play at the tier list level etc...

but anyway the point of this comment was to let you guys know i might be around for some friday/monday smashfests when i come down for the weekend, though i'm warning you beforehand i might suck - a lot.

it's cool though, we all know i only go for the lolz

I don't think Fox requires a large amount of tech skill to play actually, at least relative to the other viable characters. Of course, if you want to play like sw, then sure, but the best Foxes don't do anything excessively technically challenging. The consistency in tech skill needed for Fox (not missing an l-cancel, fast fall, etc etc) applies to all characters, and the only reason it might feel like it's excessive for Fox is because the consequence of missing one l-cancel is often greater than for, say, Jigglypuff.

Fox definitely has match ups where he is difficult to play. But I think the majority of his match ups, including Peach, which I'm going to use as an example just because I actually know it, Fox is easier to play than Peach. I'm sure this applies to many of his match ups though. I don't think I have to explain why.
