That was the greatest losers bracket run I've had. GGs to all.

FCF had to forfeit against Incendiary but honestly, they're less than 30 points apart and he will lose maybe 5+ max.
Now the forfeit he had to do against Basedgod, even if in loser's bracket where you gain/lose less points it'll hurt his score most likely cause that's considered the first "Upset" before sylveon started taking names.

I don't think that makes it fair. I'm not mad about it or anything, I get that he has places to be on thursday. But for me and people sitting at ~8th-12th where the point difference is very small getting guaranteed free points from someone with 1600+ when it could've otherwise gone either way seems kinda iffy.
Like if forfeits become a regular thing who gets that spot in bracket for free points toward their ranking?

Someone gets a few free points, but it's fine. After another tournament or two they'll be redistributed properly assuming no upsets happen. Working on ELO rankings atm.

Besides, FCF only gave up 8 points.

Hey, guys! Xyro here. Houston/Texas largest tournament series (TGC) is having its 2nd event about 34 days from now. For this event, i am doing several major changes so PLEASE PLEASE read this post. It is VERY important, dont skip over it.

So with your venue fee and 1vs1 fee paid for, you are 110% entered into TGC 2 and i will post your pool/bracket a few days before the event so that you can see who you face and be able to prepare for it if need be. If you do not pay online, you can still pay offline but you will not be seeded and you will be thrown into pools/bracket at random. This means you may play your best friend round 1.

The purpose of me doing online registration this time is to get you guys seeded into pools/brackets ahead of time so that you can walk into the venue, check-in and start playing matches much soon than before. This also means we can leave the venue earlier than before too.

One final thing, the rules for TGC 2 have gone through a MAJOR change. Wireless controller rules, stage rules and much more have changed. PLEASE read the rules asap because these changes have to do with every person entering TGC 2.

I feel like there's a skill drop after the top 14 players on the rankings (after Mindless). There's been a few random upsets (Azure beating Paw, Sylveon losing to Azure and Chewy) but nothing consistent.

Question for everyone: who's the best player outside of the current top14?

If actual specifics, Lan beat Castro before and he's a decent C.falcon player.
Shade another falcon that's good, Kyro and Shlike could be higher if they attended more. Enigma and Iam I think are pretty good too. Dunno about rest after that.

You can also just check the previous bracket images and see who beats who under top 6, cause honestly after that they can lose to almost anyone.
The cycle for 1-3 seems to be megafox > espy prime and Espy prime going back and forth sometimes
