Oh wait! Could this really be the first thread where Samus's Abilities, buffs, nerfs, tricks and what she can/can't do IS NOT mentioned?

-

What do you guys think about her sound effects in brawl?

I like the hit sound from her up+B better now than in melee,
(not as much as in ssb64 though)

Charging charge shots still sounds cool and VERY SHARP now, it's almost like my ears hurt when I have high volume on my TV
ssb64 charging sounded deep and always got my full respect when i heard someone charging them..
But I think it sounds best in melee, some kind of wobbly space sound!

Any specific sounds you like in brawl?

Dair. GAME!
Yeah, that tends to happen. I still don't know why they chose the narrator's voice for that attack, though.

Is it just me, or does anyone find Samus' b-air sounding weird? It makes this unusual clanking noise. Anyway, I like how Samus' Charge Shot, Screw Attack, and z-air sound. It's all so very electric.

I miss her old robotic"Wah!" sound when she jumped in the air or when she Wavedashed in melee. I also miss the flippy noise when she used her second jump. I agree with Dryn on how weird her Bair sounds now. Things I like are her Up-B, Z-air, Charge shot, and her jab.

I miss the old honking sound when Samus gets Star-KO'd in Melee. I also miss Samus' jump sfx, both grounded and midair jumps. I also miss the sound of Samus' nair breaking through Ness' pkt2 and other (insert high priority move here). Samus in Brawl doesn't have much going for her.

I've always loved the bomb sound effect. Thank god they didn't ruin it like they did with whirling fortress, dolphin slash, Fox shine, etc. What's interesting is it's actually a sound effect taken from the original Metroid on NES, unlike all the rest of her robot sounds.

I also love the new grapple sound effects and especially the Charge Shot. It was nerfed in Melee in that it always made the same sound when you shot it, and I love how they fixed it in Brawl, and it sounds really fierce now.

Her new jumping, flipping, and Screw Attacking sounds are pretty cool too, but I liked the robotness of the Melee sounds. At least she doesn't have the same kicking sound effects as Fox.

Haha.. I don't even understand why they put in such a hillarious death cry for her!

I think the multiple hits from her screw attack sounds wimpy in melee (tft, tft, tft, tft...)
They sound way better in Brawl (Dug! dug! dug! dug!)
And in SSB64 (Smack! crack! tonk! crash!!!) way to cool.. ;)

One nice detail is the (Clunk) sound she makes when you press down!

I think it would've been much more entertaining to play Samus if all of her physical moves had the sound of Peach's frying pan from Melee whenever they connected.

definitely the screw attack and grapple beam, those are much better in this game than melee

I absolutely adore the screw attack sounds from N64, but the new one comes close.

The only sound effect I DON'T like from Samus is her Dair... It makes a weird ker-chunk sound after she's bent her leg back in place, it just doesn't match up with what she's doing.

Other than that, I think her sound effects are sweet. My favourite? Probably her Morph Ball Bomb. *Bloop* :D

It's so sweet! Gotta love the sound when they get pummeled.. especially when pummeling THREE opponents at the same time and the SFX multiplies =P

I just noticed that Samus's half charged shots sounds way cooler than the fully charged ones! ;P

speaking of sound effects why the hell did they put in narration for the metroid prime title song and (ridley was it?) these are two of my favorite songs and the narration totally ruins it! :p

>.> and he sounds like jack black

The Echoes Hunter theme more than makes up for that on custom stages. And it was the Brinstar remix for Brawl.

Meta Ridley's theme was thankfully spared from the horrible tragedy of narration.

if samus dies in a stamina match it sounds really scary, sounds like a scream of a monster or something
