Here are the things I'd like to see in Next Samus:
BEAM TYPES
While charging up her shot, hitting a direction would fire off what's charged already and then change her beam type for the next shot. Currently selected beam would be obvious by her gun arm crackling with electricity, glowing red and smoking, or glowing blue with steam rolling off of it.

NORMAL
(charge shots have more launching than the other projectiles)
- Right,
WAVE
(charge shots home slightly with a little extra hitstun, projectiles move through terrain)
- Left,
PLASMA
(charge shots penetrate through enemies and objects, projectiles launches faster)
- Down,
ICE
(charge shots freeze enemies in place instead of launching them)
CHARGE COMBO MISSILES
When firing a super missile with a fully charged beam, you can hold the button a little longer to instead expend the beam charge and fire a powerful missile charge combo.

(expanded blast radius, greater launch)

WAVE, Wavebuster
(fires a beam of electricity that randomly arcs to nearby objects and players. The beam is avoidable with clever air dodging or getting behind cover, but for the most part is difficult to avoid taking damage. When the beam finishes, there is slight knockback to whatever is touching it at the end.)

PLASMA, Flame-Thrower
(Essentially, grants Samus with a short duration curry breath coming from her gun. She can move and attack freely except using specials will interrupt the Flame-Thrower.)

ICE, Ice Spreader
(launches a ball of ice that, on impact, freezes everything around the blast in a large radius. Does not freeze as long or do as much damage as a direct hit with a fully charged ice beam)
TRUE MORPH BALL
Down B quickly puts her into morph ball mode, a nimble mode.
- Normal Attacks simply become dropping bombs.
- Side special, BOOST
Side special becomes Boost, a charge attack where she quickly slams in the direction indicated based off of how long the button was held.
- Neutral special, POWER BOMB
After a short delay, essentially sets off a miniature Smart Bomb where Samus was when the button was pushed. 15 second cooldown, indicated by how brightly the morph ball lines are glowing.
- Up special, SPRING BALL
She essentially just boosts upwards immediately, damaging enemies in the way. While boost stops when it hits something, Spring Ball would just continue through. Can only be used once per jump, but all other attacks can still be used afterwards.
- Down special reverts to normal Samus.
