Basically a way for boards to collaborate and advance a specific area of the doubles metagame. Boards will discuss on a agreed thread about strategies, discoveries, and such. Each quarter each board will discuss with another board about doubles (concerning the boards' team of course).

The PT boards would like to ask you guys to be our first discussion partner. If most of the Samus boards object, feel free to use this thread as your own thread for choosing a discussion partner, so that this thread won't take up idle space.

EDIT: So far it looks like you guys are uninterested, so I will ask another board. Hopefully you guys find a good match.

I'm sure a few of us are aware of RK Joker's thread in the Brawl Tactical Discussion. See? I didn't even have to click that link to know who wrote it and where it was located. I've been thinking about this, but it doesn't seem to be confirmed by any of the moderators. From what it seems, RK Joker is using a XatChat, and no administrator has accepted some kind of thing where two character boards would be combined as one. That's how I understood it, anyway.

For me, I would prefer being with the Pit board, or maybe the Zero Suit Samus board. Samus complements these two characters, I think, because of the late Gunpei Yokoi, and because Samus and Zero Suit Samus would be Samus at her fullest. Those two are probably taken, but no one has said anything. I don't know why the PT board would want to team up with the Samus board. That's two low-tiers.

The idea is to use just one thread on a predetermined board to discuss, I believe, not use XatChat (unless the boards prefer it that way). And this is similar to character matchups, kinda, instead discovering what they can do with each other rather than against each other. Also, tiers, while still relevant, are a bit different in doubles, of course. So two low tiers is not neccessarily a bad thing.

Personally I slay with my buddy, He goes Ike and he is trigger happy C stick guy but I compliment him well. those boards are my first choice. But I think Toon Link would be a good doubles candidate for Samus, just IMO.

Samus and Dedede work well together in doubles. Samus can stun people long enough for Dedede to get in and hit them with a smash attack.

Samus is tall, too. While IsmaR and I used Samus only in doubles, we did very well against our opponents. I don't see what's wrong with ZSS.

Snakeee/Teh Spammer got 2nd @ Cot4(over 250 in singles) using a ZSS/MK combo. ZSS is a great character and so is Pit. They have potential to take a national tourney if played well, but so do many others. Samus mainers need to seriously consider the possible ZSS/Samus as a character. I have just seen the light, because I used to main Zelda solely. After trying Sheik and mixing them in matches, they work sooo much better together. Sheik = easy damage. Zelda = easy KO. Don't be stubborn and continue to be narrow minded on Samus. I bet you would win hundreds of more matches using ZSS/Samus than Samus alone. Don't think of it as leaving Samus, but just helping her out. Maybe Samus = damage. ZSS = KO?
