Zelda games hardly ever (minus like Master Quest) have good puzzles.
If you want good (and hard) puzzles, play Lufia 2.
Hints, you shouldn't need them given the first Zelda (not on "Zelda" mode) isn't that hard.

The game does, however, have issues with telling you where to go.
But the original cartridge came with a map, I've just lost it.

The puzzles in Twilight Princess are much better than the puzzles in Zelda 1, even if they aren't that much harder. An example of a Zelda 1 puzzle is "guess that this wall is destructible and put a bomb there". An example of a TP puzzle is "move this ice block around in a logical pattern so you can place it on the switch".

Obviously all games that try to have puzzles can't be this good. <3
Just threw the 3rd one in for good measure.

Edit: Hmm I wonder if that Sky Zelda game that's due to be released this year will be any good.
Despite some peoples opinions, I liked Twlight Princess.
It COULD have been a lot better, though.
As the dungeons seemed incredibly... umm, straightforward.
And I don't like getting an item in 1 temple to ONLY pretty much use, in that same temple.

HOWEVER!
Stallord is probably the funnest boss in the entire series.

^This^

And the puzzles aren't even smart, they are just stupidly random. I mean, you don't even get hints. It might as well be called "Legend of Zelda: Trial and Error"
I know it's so annoying.

I spent ages in the dungeons trying to figure out which wall I was supposed to blow up, with no hint at all.

Also it's ******** how there's like a random tree you set on fire that gives you a heart capsule thing. And there's nothing to suggest it's there. Absolutely nothing.

The Spinner is great for dealing with enemies especially in that 50 level dungeon thing. It can be used whenever. Ball of Chain is terrible though.

I was thinking about this today to be honest... which Zelda title I like :o

My favourite is probably TP, especially seeing as i played in this order - MM - TP - WW - OoT

So TP didnt seem like it was sticking close to OoT and not adding much.
MM was awesome too.
I'm sure OoT was probably the most important title of the series for moving the series status forward, but having played TP first I guess I just prefer it and to be honest i found the story far more engrossing. The Yetis were my best friends. :D

TP = MM > OoT > WW > Four Seasons or whatever lol

Yeah, and the screen after it has another tree like that, with an utterly useless shop (I just found both).

I loved that Ice Mansion thing on TP, Splice. <3

The ball and chain was useful, but only against the mummified enemies and darknaughts.

Even the 4 darknaughts in the final room of the ordeals was too easy. Only one approaches you at a time and if you roll behind them its a guaranteed hit and follow everytime. Fav boss in TP was the dragon in the sky temple.

Ciao, going night toboggoning now.

Had a good time at the meet yesterday even though there was only a few people there.

My Opinion of Zelda OOT > TP > MM > WW
Ive finished them all more than once (except twilight princess) and since the new game looks like the same ol formula that im getting sick of I might not even pick it up.

o-o I don't think I've ever played a Zelda game...

all I ever played were xbox games Jet Set Radio Future (game that got me into gaming), Halo 1, and Fable 1 and of course, Age of Empires 1 on mah PC.

SO4 is ok.
PS3 version has the bonus of never having to switch discs.
i liked SO3:TtEoT. thats what got me into the series. plus its the only game ive ever played that hasnt a decent base of well done dragon creatures fundamental to the storyline -_- the ones in FFXII are okay too, but there's less of them. MUCH less of them.

plus i love the live battle system intergrated with action sequences. it reminds me alot of paper mario without the annoying turn based system.

nfi what I'll be calling it, but based on results, I'll keep of list of "points" players get in out state (for the year).
It means NOTHING, though (except how well you do/how many you participate in, lul), so don't worry too much about it.

10 people (or less, min of 7):
1st - 10 points
2nd - 8 points
3rd - 6 points
4th - 4 points
5th - 3 points (usually multiple 5ths)

11 - 19 people:
1st - 10 points
2nd - 8 points
3rd - 6 points
4th - 5 points
5th - 4 points (ties)
Whatever is next - 2 points (ties)
Whatever is next - 1 point (ties)

20+ people:
1st - 10 points
2nd - 9 points
3rd - 8 points
4th - 7 points
5th - 6 points
Whatever is next - 4 points (ties)
Whatever is next - 2 points (ties)
Whatever is next - 1 point (ties)

I'll keep a list (probably in this topic) for Brawl Singles & Melee Singles.
I cbf with doubles unless I can be bothered working out another thing.

Also, I'll probably modify Valhalla's Melee rules a tad, since I'm in charge of smash in general there, lul.
Pretty sure there's only 2 additions I need to make anyway.

I'm not adding any stages lul.

And anyway, you're still in charge of the brackets/seeding, so stfu whippersnapper.

Every state has an overlord for rules though.
You all lucked out and got me hahahahAHAHAHAHA.
Meh.
Except at SG.

Edit: And, OBVIOUSLY you still get a major say, so if you WANT anything changed, talk to me.

As long as it's not something stupid.
And I think everything is stupid.
