awesome lan guys lol. Luck was definitely on my side yesterday night Massive thanks to Jamage for running the brawl tourneys, some 9 hours or so worth :O

I question the Ganondorf/PT usage here. Mind clarifying the extent of usages. Perhaps yours as well dj. Like when it comes to those many characters I ask whether or not they were used as "mains" throughout the tournament. If they were used to win probably at any point while vsing those ranked 3-8th I'll accept that.

also how do you do the numbers for 3 or more? I think ankoku went on a system like this

Good Lan guys, DJB you and your brother were amazing... Double Snake **** FTW @_@

I did pretty bad, first round I had to play Ant... And I lost to Ganondorf with Marth... WITH MARTH *runs off crying*

But then again I haven't played Brawl since last Lan... I really need a new Wii.

I did terrible in every tourney, I didn't win a single match in singles, I didn't win a single match in the Captain Falcon Invitational and I didn't win a single match in doubles... And to think, it was only like 4 Lans ago that I came second... Well that was before DJB came and destroyed us with his robot-like skills... And now he's brought his brother to own us all as well... WHEN WILL THE TORMENT END?

yeah awesome lan, one of the best ever. I had a not so good Lan when it comes to my Smash games I definatly wasnt playing at my best but had a really good Peach V Ganon against Ant and had fun Falco 0-death grabbing Theif twice in a row on FD one end to the other in a 4 player FFA match that made my Lan :D:D:D.

I have it split equally. A character a person uses is -used- to win. While you do use Sonic more than others you give him up for specific matchups. Without those characters in your arsenal would you be able to come first? That's my general philosophy of things. I use Marth all the way, but if I encounter an IC and lose Ill switch to Meta. So one match up I use another character yet I still give 'him' 50%. The list in one way is an enforcer of character patriotism. If you want to have your character doing his best in the list you would have been better off to stay Sonic all the way through and come 2nd, or EVEN 3rd/4th...

Ankokus system there could be implemented, I wasn't aware of him using it though, because when Ive done scoring using Ankoku's lists there havn't been a real difference. If a majority want it changed this way I'll do so though.

Jamage's Streetgeek Lan 8.12 Report
December 5th and 6th in Adelaide



Possibly the best Streetgeek ever from a consolers point of veiw Smash Bros galore, Halo 3, Left 4 Dead, Mariokart, Guitar Hero, Rock Band and even Super Mario World all got thrashed. I counted 12 Guitars and 3 drum kits there so people didnt have to wait long for a shot.

PC area was about 80% full and lots of cool stuff happened there too but I didnt have my own PC at the Lan.
Good (cheap) food and drinks, great atmosphere, tons of gaming, tournamnets, prizes, dual ceiling projectors and lots of socialising made this an awesome Lan.

Dual ceiling projectors in 1080p were insane, I vote for some Co-op or multiplayer Gears of War 2 on them next lan as we spoke about Gears 2 for about 30 mins during lunch but didnt get any games going.

Smash Tournamnets were probly the best ever, I was totally buggered after running 8 hours of them and not sleeping friday night but it was worth it as we had so many awesome games in all tournaments and in freindlies. 0-death chain grabbing Theifs Sheik with Falco twice in a row in a ffa match made my lan.

We also had a very different Smash Bros Brawl Tournament this lan that proved to be alot of fun, rules were: fast brawl, heavy brawl, 1.2 damage, 4 stock, 7 min time limit and only bottom and low teir (ranked) charachters allowed. These rules didnt stop DJB from winning though.

Yeah you got 400 points but after me winning both the Mariokart and Halo FFA tournaments I was on 430 and Krill got 3rd in Mariokart that just edged you out with 410 and Aisuka was on 390.

Home cooked burritos rock, we had a free BBQ at the lan.

Also Jamage I have a awesome idea for a Brawl tourney, the only problem is that we will only be able to use my Wii (I'm getting a new one tomorrow =D) for it, unless someone else has the Home Brew Channel. Basically it will be like your Brawlee tourney except much better.

Sure the Falcon Invitational had the speed, weight and damage of Melee, but with the Home Brew Channel, we can have so much more. There are codes to add L-Cancelling (timings different and kinda hard to get used to though), Wavedashing and the Hitstun of Melee into Brawl. There is also a code to remove tripping. It would almost exactly like Melee with all the characters and stages of Brawl. The only downside is as I said before that we could only use my Wii unless someone else has HBC.

So what do you say Jamage? Should we give it a go?

Although... I don't think Snake should be allowed in this tourney, I'm not sure if I'm right, but I'm pretty sure Snake would be incredibly broken with Wavedashing.
