EDIT: If ausmash wants to give a dedicated webpage it'd save me having to buy a domain. If not then its no biggy.

There are some sites that give out free domains but it'd end up something along the lines of www.adelaidesmash.dyndns.com and that just looks ********.

Perth manages to have their scene quite healthy (just Brawl though, I want Melee to grow as wellllllllllllllllll) by simply telling people to go and google smashboards Perth, or something (I can't remember, cbf checking atm).

The first step would be just distributing posters that have an event time, location and date.
I'll try and talk to all the people I don't recognise who are playing smash at Val and tell them stuff.

What other comps for brawl are there besides Streetgeek, Valhalla/Reloaded, and Avcon?

Yeah I main MK, at the reloaded comp I didn't see many MK's and was hell surprised.
I'm not the best out there but I'm getting better.

Valhalla should be this Saturday though.

It has about 6 or 7 times at least. Couple of lans ago it got voted as the players chioce. You can vote in the console section of the forums.

StreetGeek 10.08 Retrolan Report

Turnout was huge for this Retrolan with well over 150 people. Maybe thanks to an ad in the newspaper a few days before. Many retro games and tournaments were played, many energy drink, pizzas, cooked meals and all sorts of snacks were consumed during the event.

Jamage what are these prizes that are given to the console winners?

Winners get to select from a bunch of prizes in the prize tier list. Tier 1 is usually decent PC or 360 games.
1st gets a tier 1 pick, 2nd gets a tier 2 pick I think.
Sometimes extra prizes are given like last lan the smash 64 ffa winners got a 360 game, a thermaltake fan and a hat.

Brawl 1v1 now gets a tier 1 prize
