Dunno, I never mentioned having a problem with lynching Maven up until now. Some of the stuff he posted in #276 has its merits though and I actually think he's not that good a lynch. Incidentally, I like what Stu has posted in #270-272 as well and am starting to think that I'm being too lenient on Bardull, misreading his scumminess as poor play. Who knows.
I was asking because I wanted to know what you didn't like about s2. I used Maven as a comparison becuase he was null/inactive

Why is Rake voting Maven suspect but you calling for a Maven lynch not?
Rake voted Maven without any accompanying message, but later said it was to 'pressure an inactive' which to me seems a very mild way of pressuring a slot. Rake's vote was also his first (and only?) 'push' of the game, whereas I have been pursuing a variety of directions.

I'm also not calling for a Maven lynch, in fact, I'm criticizing two slots for their lack of activity and suggesting that we lynch between them. If they both want to actually post and be active then I have no problem with letting them off the hook.

I'm surprised that this is a question that needed asking honestly.

FireEmblem, however, does stick out to me. To answer Kary's question, I've played with FE before, and in that game he was very active, asking questions, throwing out reads and contributing. This game, he seemed to completly flip, and is ignoring everything going on. The only reads he's had was when Gheb asked him to read Joey/Bardull, where he was non-commital, and then posting again, ignoring everything that happened, to try and switch the conversation to two inactive slots. And even though I've seen him use the term null, he refereed to Potassium as town, when he's never played a game with the game and he had never posted. Maybe a reach, but that looks like a slip.

I really like Kary's slot in this game, Kary/Gheb are my two strongest town reads

I have FireEmblem as scum, Bardull/Rake as maybe scum.

Vote: FireEmblem

sorry for the inactivity world of warcraft sucked me in again
Well to compare, my first game was a mini with about 7 people where inactivity was quite common spare for a few people, while this one is has 11 users, A good 90% of which are active. This game I'll admit to playing a little more cautiously than last game, as it seemed I was confusing the others with my leads due to it seeming like summarizations of everyone else's (Which I felt it kind of was).
I'll admit I am seeming inactive due to me focusing on observing others thoughts rather than presenting my own. It's mostly due to the difference between games where in this one the ball started rolling early. While the previous one was hard to get to start and maintain it's roll.

The Potassium thing was me thinking that it might seem pointless to have a null, to be perfectly honest. Didn't know it would be that questionable.

Yes after rereading the first few pages, I realize my play was complete ****...I've been stressed out with finals, I've developed a degree of insomnia, and my heart isn't in this game. I wanted to help Ruy fill the game, but I knew it was a bad idea during this 2 weeks. Sorry to anyone I came off as abrasive/annoying/bratty/hardass to.

Basically what's gonna happen is, I'm gonna claim my early gheb vote was just to get content going. RVS. People are going to say I'm trying to backpedal, but it really was just silly RVS early game tryhard shenanigans to get the game going. I am never again going to do this as any alignment no matter how slow the game is going because I only end up getting myself killed every time despite the content it produces. It becomes the perfect excuse for people to jump on my slot and its hella counter intuitive.

****, I really don't have time for this game but I'm just going to reread and pan out my thoughts I guess.

I'll claim this as my bad and back off on this. I read extremely literally and when someone says "Which of you two deserves to die toDay" I interpret that as you saying "these two should be our candidates for lynching toDay." Which wouldn't be a cool thing to say.

I want to reiterate something while I'm at this reread.

Me trying to be transparent IS NOT A SCUM TELL. I think people are honestly reading way too hard into some of the things I've been saying, i.e. claiming that I'm 'trying too hard to be townie' because I've explained why I'm doing what I'm doing.

From a personal standing, it's cool if finals was your focus and that's been affecting your play. Should definitely be your focus and **** mafia, it doesn't matter. None of us give a **** if your play was bad here, tear it up some other day. Just wanted to put this out there while you're rereading and this is entirely unrelated to the game.

From a game standpoint, I see more Appeal to Emotion than Backpedaling and I don't like bringing that up at all.

After having reread the game, I'll re-state(?) that I definitely do feel that Bardull led FireE early in the game and put words in his mouth and that stands out to me more than anything in this game as scummy. Also it really is amusing how often he uses phrases like "for the benefit of town" "the town intent" and such but I don't know how much weight to put on that. Very interested in what he has to say tonight.

vote Bardull
I have no idea what this is about. How did I lead FireEmblem??

I knew someone would say that too but that's the truth of the matter. I'm not the kind of guy to use AtE however.

I do appreciate the first paragraph though.

Man I just don't give a **** anymore, just lynch me already. I have too many important things to deal with to be stressed out over this game.

I AM the Town lie detector though, and I haven't used my ability yet.

Yes it is a day ability. Once per day, on a statement someone else has made. (I found out later I can't use it on myself. That's why I used weird phrasing early on in one of my posts @FireEmblem). The post Orbo and Sold were talking about.

Guys I really want to take a break from the game. Assuming I am not dead yet I will use the ability on IDK who soon. You guys can decide.

You've had like 3 or 4 votes on you.

I will think about something that you can do with your ability.

I think Bardull should try to use the ability on multiple people at once. Like, somebody names the three strongest town reads in the game and Bardull checks if it's true or not.

Unvote: FireEmblem

I did notice all my points against you but I was more trying to test how you'd react to it. Still filed away under suspicious

FireEmblem, Kary, Gheb are all the same alignment

Maven is town

Rake, Kary, Gheb are all the same alignment

If they have to be in different posts then someone else can post them but that's my vote.

Bardull's recent claim is sitting right to me.

hmm, if you can use the ability every day that makes you prime target.

I'm thinking something like 'Bardull and X are both town' that way if you flip we have a clear.

Ok, so I checked with BlueRuy for more detail on how my ability works.

To clarify my earlier post, I CAN NOT use my lie detector ability on my own statements.

For example, when I responded to FireEmblem with "Glyph is Town. Joey is scum. Is that right?" I was trying to make isolated statements in my own post so that I could check them later on. However I clarified with BlueRuy and he said I could not do that, and that I can only check statements made by players other than myself.

I have also asked if it is possible for me to actually confirm the alignment of three different players at once. BlueRuy said I can only actually confirm a statement to be truthful if the player himself actually has knowledge of whether or not what they are saying is true. So like if there was a pair of confirmed masons, and one of the masons claimed they were both town, then the statement would come up as truthful. So the ability literally works like a lie detector.

In other words, I can not actually check three alignments at once, that would be downright game breaking. :p

Yeah, makes sense, it's not a true or false statement tester, it's a "Lie Detector" as the words say. And can only test when people say something they can lie about. Because if you say something that you aren't sure is right or wrong, it would just pop up like that.

So is there any other guidelines to it? Like not being able to be read clear cut statements like I am town or I'm not scum.
Cause by the way I see it still is kind of OP.
