No, because then you allow meta to get involved when it's already marred by the fact that it's a ****ing hydra. Even if, in that specific post, you can start applying meta, you're completely throwing out the fact that they're still talking to another player. After that point, meta cannot apply because actions a player normally may take can alter due to compromise or subordination to the other head.

I mean, I normally acknowledge people whenever they ask me for reasons but Gorf has this new tendency to dig his feet in the dirt nowadays. If I started doing that, it's weird for me, and you could call me on it. But it's completely in line for Gorf and you can't really get a straight answer if you asked them about it. They could just as easily lie because you can't see the ongoing communication outside the thread.

Isn't this the whole point of signing your posts though? To make sure it won't be easily blamed on the other. I know it beats the whole point of being a hydra, but I don't care about that much, all we're looking for now is the win. If signing your posts so your slot becomes easier to read, and you're town, you wouldn't have a problem with this.
I can't really see any other reason for not doing this than "I want to stay hidden in the hydra".

I'll discuss this with my partner before signing all the time but consider half of us on board.

@Jtb: Hmmm, I don't think so. I never think of TvT or SvT or anything like that. I just look at their individual actions. Basically, I don't trust in just looking at just arguments and voting on one side or the other. I try to look at the person's intent. So I wouldn't know. What do you think?

I do agree his actions were very on the surface. He didn't wait for Swiss to answer, he instead ignored his work comment, and kept pushing. I don't really know what he would do as town/scum seeing as I have never played with him before. Nor do I really know his intentions. I actually never thought of it in that way. You know, trying to 'power play' and all. Might make sense that he is trying to get town cred by over powering Swiss.

Meta and intent are linked but not the same. Im well aware of how I play this game and an not sure why you're trying to argue otherwise.

First of all, he completely ignores the explanation that Swiss just doesn't want to do stuff at work. Next up, he twists it into rebellion, as if Xonar is even something to rebel against. Lastly, he attributes anti-town to something like rebellion, COMPLETELY ignoring Swiss's personality, that he might rebel regardless of alignment.

Xonar's black-and-white views are something that have bugged me last game, and probably will this game.

Other than that, nothing that has already been pointed out.

Okay, that answers my question, I guess.

I don't know how you pin people. I've never played a game with you, or at least not a game that lasts long. I think the only other time was Toohoo or games where you were playing in a hydra with Ryker, and I ended up leaving for a good while in Toohoo and you ended up replacing out in nearly every game of RadFic that I was in. I don't know how your scumhunting works.

And I'm sorry you think it's a simple concept. It's not that easy. I could start tagging myself as WashedLaundry. Hell, Soup pegged me accurately within two posts. But you're overlooking the fact that the hydras will share opinions, reasons, motives, actions, and everything else (if they're not, they're doing it wrong). You're trying to break the hydra into two players when both players should be acting together as one player.

I'm not WashedLaundry, Swiss. I'm AggroMed and whether you like it or not, that's how you have to read me. Sooner or later, WashedLaundry's opinions will be WashedLaundry+Gorf opinions and at that point, we're no longer wholly one or the other.

Also, I'll add this: I find it thoroughly weird Spidey went from fighting against Swiss for all forms of authority over a single question only to COMPLETELY 180 and do exactly what Swiss tells him to about hydras with absolutely no visible rhyme or reason for this sudden subordination.

Seeing you state this sort of disappoints me. I had hoped that if anyone was going to directly look at Swiss's play and come out with a scum/town case it would be you, Xonar, J, ect. who are people who have experience not only playing forum mafia, but playing forum mafia with Swiss or methods to capture players like him. I didn't see a reason though to call out Spidermang so soon, as there was still information that could be gotten from the push.

For one, Soup arguing that the optimal play would be to comply with Swiss strikes me as being largely unnecessary, especially when pressure was being applied early into the game and Swiss-Spidermang debate was infantile enough that it didn't realistically hinder either party from realistically scumhunting other slots at the same time. Don't know why Soup is playing the white knight, but I don't think a big boy like Swiss needs a lap dog.

My vote still stands. :3
