My role works as Raz' explained it with the exception that I do not know whether my lynch will actually be nullified or not. The wording of the PM kinda leaves it open and it's hard to paraphrase it without actually quoting it.

I didn't use it on Kantrip because I've seen no reason to. Even if it looked a bit obvious that he was a mislynch I think my role becomes increasingly powerful, the later we are into the game. So I'd either use it on myself to prove I'm not scum or wait until a crucial point where it could make a difference.

using it on yourself does jack **** to prove you're not scum. Mafia could easily have that same role. And it just resets the Day, not that powerful unless you use it when Town / the lynchee isn't expecting it. Since you already know you'll use it, you have no reason to give off any alignment tells on lynch.


anyways, we should definitely lynch you to test it out. Since your role is exposed, using it won't give town any benefits since scum won't slip up when they're lynched. So using it to save yourself will at least prove that your power is right



tbqh, your reason for not saving kantrip is pretty lackluster. I would think anyone would save him during twilight after his reaction and him claiming.

Quite easily, in fact. I've seen scary do worse distancing in Monster Mafia with Bardull.

I'm a neighbor doc combo. K could only doc while gorf ( my neighbor) was alive. I docced ra e n1 as he was the most obvtown of the slots there imo.

jexs don't unvote... gheb still scummy as hell. his claim is mad scummy and is useless from a town POV, he also took years to answer very simple questions about how the role works as if he was tryna come up with something on the fly, this is further evidenced by the fact that he starts saying he would use it on himself (very scummy), then he says wasn't sure about whether or not he could use it on himself, and now he says he can't. So much confusion for something that's just in his role pm.

@Mac: On re-reading your Gheb case, I can see where you're coming from on his pushes, especially the timing on starting the Kantrip wagon. I'd be alright with throwing down a vote.

I'm not sure I buy him not being able to gov himself, though. That was what made it iconic in TT, and I get the impression Ryker is trying to emulate that one. I think that might just be a self-preservational play.

Though Gheb has been really sound in his play and generally is leaning town I'm willing to believe Raz's claim for the time being and believing that Gheb used the idea of multiple redirector roles and his hard stance to keep me alive as a grasp to gain townie points.

My tinfoil hat is rather comfy I must say.

Wow, after doing some more rereading I realize this about gheb. Gheb's play right before d2 ends is pretty gross and telling


This Gheb post is one of his most informative during d2. Note that he has Dietz in his null section and Kantrip in his leantown list.

Scary claim happens and then I prompt ppl to move off his lynch, Marshy and I agree on going JD and support for that lynch is building. In the midst of that, Gheb posts this:


He explicitly votes orbo over JD. (Orbo wagon had some heat earlier in the day) This isn't too suspect by itself however

Marshy grills Rake. about kantrip vs jdietz and why Rake doesn't wanna go that direction. At this point JDietz is at L-1 and gheb posts this:


He literally randomly votes for Kantrip and literally starts that crappy wagon. (his reasoning being following rake. but even he recognizes how absurd that is). The fact that he chose NOT to hammer JDietz and instead start a late game wagon on Kantrip is very very weird to me for a few reasons:

• In his previous reads post, he has kantrip as town vs JDietz who he has as null. Why would he choose to START a wagon on someone he feels better about than a null read. Plus kantrip barely posted between Gheb's reads post and the end Day shenaningans
• In his post where he votes orbo over jd, he said he'd be willing to switch to jd if need be. Yet for some reason he feels that if orbo wasn't gonna happen, starting a wagon on kantrip makes more sense than actually "voting him if need be"

I can't see any reason why Gheb would act the way he did. It feels that it's very unlikely that gheb would vote in such a way if there wasn't external motives in not lynching JD. At the very least, Gheb's behavior did not match what he'd been saying. When people are inconsistent like this, we lynch them.

Note that this shows a connection between Gheb and JD, since JD was the one he went through all the trouble not to get lynched.

So guys I take back my gheb town lean (he blinded me by saying what i wanted to hear about scary). He def near the top of my "is scum" list now.
