smargaret couldn't have known who the Reporter targeted unless she was telling the truth. There is no reason to believe that she would have attempted to guess who the Reporter targeted, except as a ploy to out the Reporter.

Even then, that doesn't make any sense. smargaret didn't have her vote on me when Town adopted a "it's Cello or smargaret" mentality. A claim that you KNOW is going to be counterclaimed is a last resort, a move made in desperation. She would have had a fairly reasonable alternate target in me; if she were scum, why not at least try to get me lynched first?
