I think Lucario is the most likely scenario, which is why I voted Lucario.

Personally though, I'd like to see Mewtwo the most.

Out of curiousity, if by the off chance Lucario isn't revealed...

Nawh really, I'll shrug.

I'm like thinking the chances are 40/20/13/13/2/2 Lucario/Jigglypuff/Mewtwo/Pokémon Trainer/Pichu/newcomer in terms of character chances.

Having Jigglypuff confirmed wouldn't surprise me. Mewtwo or the Pokémon Trainer would be unexpected, but not shocking reveals for now.

The only confirmations that would shock me right now are Pichu or a Pokémon newcomer. Those would straight up blow me away.

I'd be shocked if Sakurai didn't throw some unexpected twist into the mix after knowingly raising expectations with a series of lackluster photos and the removal of the 'challenger approaching' banner.

Seriously, it is too soon IMO for Mewtwo (although Sakurai from what I know looked happy when someone brought up Mewtwo to him at E3 according to some voices I've heard), the Pokémon Trainer is best saved for a slow update period, and Jigglypuff wasn't really a big part of the Pokémon X & Y promotion.

Lucario is a big part of X & Y (as well as the Black & White/Black & White 2) promotion(s), and is still very relevant.

Honestly, all of this is making me start to think that the odds of a newcomer are more than we are giving it due credit, which HOLY CRAP is HYPE!!!!

The biggest plus that would come from a Pichu confirmation (which won't happen) is that it will mean that every character from Melee (except Young Link) and Brawl (except possibly Snake) is coming back.

After Mewtwo and Pokemon Trainer, I'd say Lucario has a fair enough shot as well, certainly moreso than Jigglypuff who's seen comparatively little development compared to every other Pokemon veteran.

I do agree with John in that I think Mewtwo will be saved for a more special occasion. He is one of the most wanted newcomers not only here but in Japan so keeping him in your pocket for that one perfect moment would totally hype the fanbase. It could be now, but I think he'll save it for a Direct or something else along the lines.

So for me, it's between Lucario and PT as they've been a big part of X&Y's hype period, Jigglypuff after them, then Mewtwo for the surprise.

I'm still betting on Mewtwo, but I honestly wouldn't be shocked if it was a Jigglypuff reveal. Because, again, Toon Link's early reveal.

I still see Mewtwo and PT as more likely, mostly because of Mewtwo being promoted for X/Y, and the first set of starters returning.

I'd say any veteran, whether starter or hidden, is fair game to be shown before release. Promotion seems to out-prioritize status.

I'd be surprised if Sakurai showed any hidden newcomers before release though (other than 3rd parties). Ofc if he did we might not even find out they're actually hidden until the game starts leaking anyway.

No one would even care about them if people didn't foolishly believe they were planned for Brawl.

EDIT: If we really need another electric rodent, just bring back Pichu.

If we need two electric rodents together, put in the Pichu Bros. and give them a palette swap that makes them resemble Plusle & Minun.

We still got Wii U Party, Wii U Fit, Super Mario 3D World, etc.

The concept is amazing. You've read my basic concepts on them. There's enough of a movepool for them to be used to make a unique character moveset to make for an incredible tag team combination where they each do opposite things.

One combos with the up tilt, the other can kill; one kills with the forward smash, the other does massive damage.

C'mon! It's such an amazing and interesting concept!!!!

(That and it pisses off the "muh pupularuty!" crowd)

I wouldn't count on any of those games getting cross promotion, except maybe 3D World.

SO UNLIKELY. But I would love to see that. I like the previous idea someone made, forgot who, of having only Mewtwo and Lucario charging Shadow Ball and Aura Sphere, both directed at each other.

That too is unlikely, but it'd be pretty cool to see.

I'm sure a Mewtwo vs. Lucario update will happen after both characters are confirmed. It's just too epic not to happen.

Also, Mewtwo vs. Lucas... needs to be a thing.
