And Xenoblaze just stated his opinion. He doesn't like either of the characters, mainly because of the ****storm of debates that go along with them. I think both are fine additions, really. They both represent parts of Fire Emblem, but since Chrom is the posterboy for Awakening, I feel he might get in over Roy. But Roy was considered for Brawl, so Sakurai might go back on that.

And saying "obviously Chrom" is bashing. You're the epitome of a mindless Chrom-hater. You just see him as an obstacle in the way of your precious Roy.

If Roy got confirmed? I'd be fine, so long as he was made more unique. Dealing with the anti-Chrom people afterwards would be a pain, but eh. If Chrom got confirmed? I'd be very happy. He's one of my most-wanted newcomers.

As for Fire Emblem characters I would be stoked for either, not as much as I would if Tiki were confirmed. (Even as an Assist Trophy)

Having all three Mother heroes would be cool, and Ninten can be given a unique moveset, but you're overestimating his chances. Ninten is not as well known, and unlike Lucas, Sakurai never planned him for any Smash games.

Eh, I wouldn't put his notability over being the first protaginist and I don't think there was any need to have him in the last 2 games. I'm just saying that Ninten would be the only reason to even have 3 MOTHER reps. Granted he doesn't really NEED to be in this one either, but it would do some good.

I wouldn't care really if it was Lucario instead of Mewtwo. But Sakurai definitely missed an opportunity if that happened.

Wouldn't care about Roy either, but if he stays the same as in Melee, I will rage upon his inclusion.

As I said earlier, Pit already getting improvements by replacing his lackluster special attacks is in my opinion a step forward. Now all he needs now is more options for kills, because that was another problem he had (mainly because of the really ******** stale move negation).

Another thing: if a newcomer has obvious semi-clone potential, that's almost certainly what they'll be. Looking at, for example, Toon Link, could he have had an entirely unique moveset? Most certainly. Based on his similarities to Link, was it probable that he'd have an entirely unique moveset? Most certainly not. This applies to guys like Wolf and Lucas, and will almost definitely apply to Chrom if he's in. Could he be entirely unique by switching stances? Yeah, but it's a longshot considering his similarities to not one, but two existing characters...with him, it's similar to the Toad situation where people desperately try and fail to paint him as anything but a dullard you nod your head along to while anticipating what better characters will follow down the pipeline.

Wouldn't be surprised if Medusa got in as a last minute clone of Palutena. I also don't know where we justify a number of games determining how many reps you get. I say it's whoever feels necessary to Sakurai considering Star Fox only had 2 officially released games by Melee and had more than Donkey Kong, Metroid, and Kirby.

Palutena... well I cannot say on the matter on how she would play considering there isn't of a basis on gameplay prospective to work off on. Being a heavy-weight character with an emphasis on projectiles and spacing seems to be the most obvious.
