Also, if that his supposed to be his final smash, why would he be Mega Mewtwo Y with the final smash-ready glow, as if he hasn't enabled it yet?

Mewtwo Y should have no glow right? That's the glow that happens when you broke the smash ball, but haven't used it yet.

...That's Brawl's graphics, sorry, and it definitely isn't on the 3DS.

hahah I severely doubt that someone hacked Dr. Wily's stage on to Brawl, and modded the HUD bars to look like Smash 4.

Plus Mega Mewtwo is also much shorter than Mewtwo in Melee. Like way shorter. Like crazy shorter.

Maybe Mewtwo is just transforming that's why he looks small.

I'm leaning away towards Jigglypuff being the revealed Pokémon, and I'm leaning more towards Lucario more so than ever.

I think they are about even right about now in my mind as to who we'll get.

Regardless, those are my top 2 picks as the most likely reveals BY FAR, unless Sakurai wants to rally up the Mewtwo hype now, confirm 3 characters in 1 (the Pokémon Trainer), or make us go freaking crazy with a newcomer reveal.

Either way, Lucario and Jigglypuff would definitely dismiss the most haters, Pokémon Trainer would reveal the most (after all, it's THREE FREAKING CHARACTERS!!!), Mewtwo would summon a lot of old school hype, and of course a Pokémon newcomer would make Smash fans alike lose their freaking minds.

Huh, that's odd. I looked at all known official art, TCG art, and the Mewtwo figma...and it matches nothing. Now, I'm not trying to say anything extreme, but it looks like the model's proportions are closer in style to Melee Mewtwo. Then again, I haven't seen Mewtwo's XY model, so it may be that. Or a conglomerate of various Mewtwo art.

Honestly I think a Mewtwo unveil would arguably dismiss haters more than Lucario or Jigglypuff would. Pretty sure we still got those people out there that hate Mewtwo/think he sucks as a whole because of his Melee days, became glad that he was cut in Brawl, even if they're not real vocal about it as much anymore. And unlike Jiggs and Lucario it would also prove that previously cut characters can indeed return in Smash.

Speaking of which, we have been long overdue for a new stage confirmation.

I just feel with Mewtwo, he would need his own "spotlight time." Putting him next to Sonic's release may or may not do that, but I'm leaning toward the latter.

I mean, how awesome would it be if we're in a slump of a good updates in say April, and then BAM!!! MEWTWO APPEARS!!!

Right now we've gotten 3 characters confirmed in 4 weeks. I'd say we're in a pretty good stretch right now.

As for the Pokémon Trainer, dude, that would be 6 characters confirmed in 5 weeks. That might just be overkill.

It very well could be. At the very least, the Lucario reveal would be awesome, especially if Lucario got ride of that stupid aura system and felt more "interesting." Like give him Sky Uppercut as his up smash, a more interesting approach to the neutral B, and oh, more crazy wacky awesome stuff (like what Project M, although it could still be crazy wacky awesome by being totally different).

Personally, I don't think we'll get four third parties or a fifth Mario character. Mainly because I think both have a pretty high bar for entry. With the Mario series, we already have all of the core characters. With the third parties, I don't want the roster to feel oversaturated with them. Now admittedly, four (or even five!) wouldn't automatically do this, but I feel that Sonic+Snake+Mega Man would be the optimal way to go about it.

I don't think a new Mario character is overly necessary; we already have Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Bowser; the big players.

The reason I DO and always HAVE included a 5th Mario character in my own rosters...is ultimately a means to justify 5 Pokemon characters.

That may or may not mean anything at all, but I just don't see Pokemon having more characters than Mario. And I would really like at least 5 Pokemon characters.

Yep. I'm not joking. This is how crazy the prospect of 2 forthcoming Smash games is making Deity and Noah.

I'm still not counting Zoroark out as a potential newcomer, especially if the Pokémon Company and the Smash development team brainstormed on it together.

I'd be fine with pretty much any 5th Mario character. I like Toad, I like Bowser Jr, I like Paper Mario, hell I even like Waluigi.

Same here, even though 5 Mario reps is unnecessary, the roster feels more balanced when are mascot series doesn't have so much less than another. Mario even has less than Zelda if you count Sheik.

I am legitimately confused as to why people think there was an N64 Logo argument simply because somebody tried to compare Diskun to an N64 logo and explained in one comment why that was a stupid comparison like anybody else would.

I can't see 3D World passing without a character being promoted along with it. I just can't see Nintendo passing on promoting their biggest 2013 Wii U game in Smash when they would promote lesser games. Normally I would've said Peach was most likely... but since she's already revealed they obviously didn't need to save her for 3D World....

With that said, I don't think we need a 5th Mario character, but I think we're going to get one. As for third-parties... well they still would make up less than 10 percent of the roster (assuming the roster is over 40), so it's not like it's overkill or anything, four is a pretty good amount. More than that is probably pushing it. We already have Sonic and Mega Man, so honestly if no more were added I'd be fine (though I'd like Snake to return).

We get the ultimate return of Mewtwo that will shut down the haters and the mega form's can be used to market X and Y as well. Personally, I don't think we'll get four third parties or a fifth Mario character.

One of those is probably gonna happen, most likely the former. After all, we've gotten 2 3rd party characters and at least 12 months to go to these game's release date (or more accurately, soon to be cancelled release date), and we've got 12 months to reveal a Mario character after all 4 of the Brawl Mario characters were confirmed.

Still, I definitely will say it is more likely we won't get a new Mario character than we will. However, if we get one, it will be Bowser Jr., Paper Mario, or some crazy "WTF?" retro character like Wart.

You keep saying that being a logo alone makes him impossible for Smash despite everything else. Why? ROB was an accessory and not only is Diskun a logo he's a mascot and a character. So you're point is invalidated. Not to mention Diskun could actually do something and is a character unlike other logos.

You seem to keep saying that being a logo makes you immune to getting in Smash and then you leave. Why can't I suggest a feasible character that isn't' Ridley, Little Mac, or Palutena without getting hate for it just because it's not a character you want?

To Smash fans? Roy. To Fire Emblem fans? Arguably Chrom. In the west, anyway. Though, like N3ON said, being in Smash previously will help spike your popularity. If either one gets into Smash this time, I'm sure their popularity will raise.

Roy. Of course, I support Chrom more and I think Chrom is more likely, but the straight answer to your question, in my opinion, is Roy.

That's fine; I know that Meowth is not an overly popular choice; even more than Ridley, he's been the character I've gotten the most flak about being in my roster...well, he isn't in my roster anymore, but you know.

Even so, I think Meowth is the most important, recurring, iconic Pokemon we have yet to see playable in Super Smash Bros. My reasons for justifying him would be similar to Ridley.
