Honestly, I think the best way to introduce AT's and the characters that will come out of them would be in a trailer to avoid confusion. Basically have a character grab one, and have a character pop out of it, thus dis-confirming whoever comes out.

That way there wouldn't be any confusion when a "CHALLENGER APPROACHING!" banner is up and an Assist Trophy is revealed.

Mega evolutions can't be advertised on the Pokemon Trainer though, as only Charizard is fully evolved. The next best option for mega evolution advertising would probably be Mewtwo.

Mega Evolution is only possible through the bond between a Pokémon and it's Trainer. I mean I guess Mewtwo would fit the spot, but not as much as Pokémon Trainer would.

True, that would eliminate confusion pretty well, but it's not like there's not going to be a trailer released every time a new AT is revealed, as it is now the majority of trailers will probably focus on newcomers to the extent we won't even get any items shown off or anything, it would just take focus away from the point of the trailer.

The best way would probably be for Sakurai to create an AT section like last time, but if he did expand the site, like I said, I doubt it'd be until next year. Either way, it's sad that looking down to the list of characters and not seeing said character there wouldn't be enough to dissuade some people should an AT show up in a daily pic.

Nah, I'm gonna go with fake (a really good fake though).

First, I'm having trouble believing both Pikachu and the background are in the exact same positions (even with different lighting and altered camera perspective) as previous screenshots - especially since the picture used for Battlefield is one without characters, making adding them much easier than a picture with characters already fighting. Second, the character bar design is slightly different than the screenshot of Mario and Mega Man (though, granted, that can change in development).

So... it's very convincing... but I'm not convinced.

Also, where did this even "leak" from?

Well, I stand by my verdict. Look at the clouds in the leaked picture, look at the flags. Even though the lighting has changed, their position is exactly the same as the official stage picture. Seems awful fishy.

Honestly, they have a screenshot of Mewtwo fighting on the Mega Man stage, yet they focus on the part they already used in another picture instead of the characters? Doesn't seem overly credible.

I'd agree Punch-Out would be ahead of GS (but then again I'd say Wii/Mii was ahead of Punch-Out). Either way, I'd say GS came just after Punch-Out.

Though from a Japan-only perspective (which Sakurai won't do - but just for comparison's sake), GS would be ahead of Punch-Out.

...That's Brawl's graphics, sorry, and it definitely isn't on the 3DS.

Also, that Mewtwo image is ripped from something.
