He said they were similar in that they were "powerful but easy to KO." Yeah.
This is the guy who people are heavily, heavily skeptical of not only due to his posting, but due to the fact that a leaker under the exact same name who registered on exactly the same date a year previously made false leaks about Wii U titles. Good riddance.

I don't think I would be the only person to buy that game. I would finally be able to play as Meowth. FINALLY. Gengar would also be a likely character. That would be so dope. Like a Jigglypuff popping pills.

Nope, that's not what I said. Nope. What I said was if someone like Yoshi was announced instead of Mewtwo, I would stop caring about SSB4 because then clearly Sakurai doesn't give a **** about the game. We all know Yoshi is going to be in anyways, its Mewtwo I want to know about.
Unless Snake is announced instead of a Pokemon, then I wouldn't mind. It doesn't mean I won't care about Yoshi in another month or so but right now all I want is Mewtwo, Lucario, or even Pacman and Lloyd, if not Snake.

I'd be ticked as well Mewtwo (or in my case, ANY Pokemon rep) wasn't revealed on X/Y's release, and some random vet is instead, but it wouldn't stop me from buying the game.

That's one scary nightmare...
Smash Style or bust. traditional fighters take too many resources to balance, and i think ideally we'd all want one with a needlessly huge roster. a little out of balance too, maybe modeled after tourney play styles with no 4 move limit.
keep balance in check by giving everyone wild card moves. Luigi's and Jigglypuffs everywhere. Yeah rattatta may take hits like a poof, but if he gets that hyper fang off on you once x _x
oh and leveling in battle/evolving

You said you would be "done" with SSB4 if such a thing happened, not that you would be disappointed.
I'd be a bit surprised, since even if they decide to hold back on Mewtwo, a starter like Pokemon Trainer seems to make too much sense to reveal alongside the release, like other veterans have been thus far. Even then, however, it might make sense to hold back on characters in general after the three rapid-fire reveals of Peach, Toon Link and Sonic, so it wouldn't be a downright shock.

that game was... respectable in it's own right
to me smash's style is comparable to a drug. done right it's wonderful. it can elevate you or simply remedy whatever ails you on the day to day basis.
handled by other people the breakage is... well i'll just say it's not synergistic
