I'm a Pac-Man supporter. And i don't think he'll get in. HOWEVER. That's because i don't think we'll have a third third party character. And even then, Snake is still competition.

If he looked like that, switched between having limbs and no limbs, and made those Pac-Man noises instead of talking, I'd welcome Pac-Man with open arms.

Also, after people are stating their age...I'm starting to feel old now. :c

I realized a characters current relevancy doesn't matter for them to be eligible in smash bros
After capcom cancelled all those mega man games, he still got in

Same here bruh. Except my beard makes some people think i'm a creepy 40 year old man...bad times man.

I'm totally serious. A few years ago when I was a senior in high school, my friends and I were playing a game outside after school (still on school grounds). There were many many people in line to play this game with us. This teacher came out and asked who I was, and a few days later accused me of being a creep. After telling him who I was, he searched the school's database to look me up.

He never came to me again. :awesome:

I think we can all agree that not all franchises are made the same. With that said, I think we should create a "Franchise Tier List," to help us decide whether a franchise is represented correctly or not. I'd say the three deciding factors for a franchises tier should be sales, age, and relevancy.

Here's how I'd put it:

S Tier: Nintendos undisputed champions, advertisements galore.
A Tier: Nintendo's great franchises that almost always do well. Plenty of advertisements.
B Tier: Quite good franchises.
C Tier: "Alright" franchises. They're just franchises, not totally special. Maybe they are good or great but have been dormant for a little bit, or are brand new. God franchises that aren't Nintendo.
D Tier: Dying franchises, extremely dormant franchises. Legendary franchises that died. Alright 1-ofs (even if new.) Great franchises that aren't Nintendo.
F Tier: Completely dead, dormant "one-hit-whatevers", alright franchises that aren't Nintendo

Rankings:
S Tier: Mario; Legend of Zelda; Pokemon
A Tier: Donkey Kong; Kirby; Metroid
B Tier: Wario; Fire Emblem; Yoshi; Animal Crossing; Pikmin;
C Tier: Star Fox; Kid Icarus; Wii Fit; Punch-Out!!; Golden Sun; Sonic
Order no longer matters
C-D Tier (I'm really not sure): Starfy; Xenoblade Chronicles; Pacman
D Tier: F-Zero; Mother; Game & Watch; Custom Robo; Megaman; Rayman; [Dillon's] Rolling Western; Chibi-Robo
F Tier: Ice Climber; R.O.B.; Sin & Punishment; Metal Gear; Castlevania; "Takamaru's Franchise"; Panel de Pon; Tales of Symphonia
No Tier: Duck Hunt (dog)

Everyone's thoughts?

Capcom didn't cancel Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10... they star the classic Mega Man.... they cancelled Mega Man Legends 3... that game stars MegaMan Volnutt. :awesome:

If you put Punch-Out in C-Tier, I'd put Chibi Robo there as he just got an entry, and has gotten a couple of games in Japan around Punch-Out Wii's release. :)

My only hope for Mega Man is that 9 and 10 get ported to the wii u e shop... My wii was kind of sort of stolen =.=

Who would anyone steal a Wii? That is like stealing someones shoe. Pointless and unnecessary; not worth a lot of money. It isn't like the Wii hasn't been out for 6 years or anything like that. PUFF!

OK no but seriously guys, I had both a wii and a wii u at the time some a holes ripped up my house and then guess what they did? They stole my wii u gamepad... And my wii... GOD ****ING DAMNIT! You have no idea how long and obnoxious it was to wait for my gamepad to come in the mail! And then when it came... **** it doesn't come with the charger. Better wait a week to get that in too =.=

As for more character confirmations after Pokemon X/Y, the only other character confirmation I could see happening in October is for Mii, due to Wii Party U's release during the last day of October in Japan.

Well, I think we all still think it'll be pokemon anyways at least, considering how much hype has been brought up on X/Y.
