Do you legitimately hate Pac-Man or are you just tired of the abundance of requests he gets regarding Smash Bros 4?

You and Rebellious Treecko teach me that a majority of people complaining doesn't make them right. Intelligent and reasonable people come in smaller numbers. (now, I'm gonna get hated for saying that when I'm not intentionally referring to anybody or calling them stupid.)
uhhh................I guess I don't HATE him, but when you compare him to like like ANY third-party, I'm going to hate that HE is the one that got in compared to cooler characters. He is loved and popular, but not really all that much on this forum.
Eh, seems kind of bland, to be honest. There are many characters that can use those kind of moves. Villager has the balloon helmet and lots of characters have hammers, so yeah, no room for something that makes him stand out other than a bunch of random moves.
I swear that Pac-Man only gets requests because Namco Bandai is developing the game.
Only because they don't want Pac-Man to "steal" the spot from their favorite third-party characters.
That's totally acceptable, I guess I chose bad examples. Then again, since we have the Balloon Helmet, we could still use the Bumpers and Balloon inflaters (which should be part of Balloon Fighters move set anyway.)

That can go different directions. People will more than likely go along the lines of they hate the Pac-Man of today and what Namco-Bandai has turned the character into, and to be honest I feel the same way, while others will state that he's a character with a strong tie to videogame history with his legendary arcade game, and sure that was a long time ago, but it's not as if he hasn't had decent games since then, although that's more up to your taste than anything. Pac-Man is a tough case to vouch for in his overall importance to gaming and whether he's really the all-star people classify him as, and I think he partially earns it, but not to the extent people classify him as. That being said, I wouldn't mind his inclusion...as long as he DOESN'T TALK EVER. It's sad when the best rendition of Pac-Man in the past five years was a ****-face riding a mech.

That was Capcom's doing. And just because Pac-Man fought on a mech in Street Fighter X Tekken doesn't mean he will use the mech in SSB4.... Mega Man was in Street Fighter X Tekken but he doesn't have those moves in SSB4.
We only need one round fighter in Smash. Jigglypuff. That is correct, I am actually suggesting that we cut Kirby and Metaknight.

I'm pretty sure that statement was made against people thinking they'd get multiple characters in. I'm sure Namco got their characters analyzed and I'm positive Pacman was the frontrunner.

Exactly. When Sakurai stated that Namco Bandai was developing the game, it didn't take long until the Pac-Man, Tales of and Tekken requests started appearing.
You could say that. Everyone here acts pretty normally, bieng hyped for Smash 4 and all.

Well I'm 17 and a good amount people on this site are in there 20's.
Pac-Man would be both modern and retro... he has the ability to temporarily lose his limbs and become a sphere (like the arcade).
