Look, new topic. I'm done with Divine. So, any suggestions? How about we talk about Starfy?

Starfy would be a totally cool and unique character with lots of potential. It still wouldn't explain why Jigglypuff would be cut though.

Let's say we can get another traditional classic character along with the likes of the most likely candidate, Takamaru, who would you pick? Now, when I say this, this discludes the likes of WTF classics like Sheriff, Diskun and the like. My personal choice would be Mach Rider, anyone else?

I'd chosoe Bubbles from Clu Clu Land, she's not that much of WTF character, is she?

Otherwise, I'd go with Mach Rider.

I doubt we are getting two non-WTF retro characters in Smash. We usually get one non-WTF retro character (Ice Climbers, Pit) and one WTF retro character (Mr. Game & Watch, R.O.B.).

So... my choice for a non-WTF retro character is Takamaru... and my choice for a WTF retro character is Duck Hunt Dog.

But for the sake of your topic, my second choice for a non-WTF retro character is Muddy Mole.

Yes, Lip would count. When I mean WTF, I mean characters that are more associated with Nintendo history than the likes of characters that are just from old games, like Mr. Game & Watch, R.O.B., Sheriff, Diskun, etc.

I agree, I have an awesome moveset for Mach Rider.
I really should post it come to think of it...

I'm going to have to design a moveset for Mach Rider soon for the Up To You winners, but I'm going to need to draw out the four special moves thanks to the fact that it's all creating source material.

I'd say Takamaru. I think he has the most likely shot at being a newcomer, and honestly he should have been in Melee not the Ice Climbers. Plus, he's a flaming-sword samurai! So yeah, I support Takamaru.

and also guys, what do you think about the possibility of us getting another Pokemon character later after the first reveal around Pokemon X/Y? We got Luigi, Bowser, and Peach all in the same timeframe from the reveal to now, with possibility at more. I'm just not sure what'd make Pokemon worth revealing more, but hey, next year may answer that for me.

Well, both Luigi and Peach made sense. I feel like it was part coincidence that they got in that early, and maybe for Peach Sakurai saw an opportunity for the anniversary and put Peach in. Almost like he just wanted to finish them off.

It's possible, but it's Pokemon. This isn't Mario, where it's a given that the four veterans would return. But it's certainly possible, although there seem to be a few games coming this way in October and November. Maybe he'll put in a character in early November since we'll have Zelda late in the month.

Also, guys, I have a theory. I think we will get Ganondorf in late-February. The LoZ series started February 21, and if we see Zelda in November, then there's a good chance we can see either Sheik or Ganondorf in February, along with a possible Diddy Kong for TF.

He may not be in my last roster, but I'm certain he's getting in...............doesnt' make much sense now that I think about it...

Anyway, the fact that he was an Assist Trophy in Brawl and had more trophies show that Sakurai knew he deserved to be the next best thing to a playable character. Being internationally released is exactly what he needed to become a nominee.

I actually stopped caring much about newcomers. Just give me the Brawl roster plus Mewtwo and Roy, and I'd be satisfied.

The only newcomers I still care a little are Ridley, Takamaru and maybe K. Rool.

The Memory Pack doesn't copy data either. It saves it. It's also incompatible with the logo, it has to go into the back of an N64 controller. (Also it's not a character) The Famicom Disk literally copies ALL data from a game onto itself and then plays the game.

I can agree with this sentiment. I am more concerned about the stages than the roster. I didn't really like any map in Brawl. So far, the levels look fairly cool in Smash 4. The only newcomers I still care about are Palutena, Toad, and Tingle. I am not getting my hopes up for Tingle. Once Jigglypuff is revealed, I will be lost. Everything I like talking about on the forums would be gone. Like a Jigglypuff with a stolen Corvette.

One thing is for sure, any Pokemon that is confirmed will be used as a reason why another Pokemon veteran won't be coming back.

I think if we do get multiple Pokemon unveiled, it will be due to the Pokemon Trainer being confirmed (who is three characters in one).

I am really curious to see who Sakurai picks. We got an entire week of updates to go to find out.

As for more character confirmations after Pokemon X/Y, the only other character confirmation I could see happening in October is for Mii, due to Wii Party U's release during the last day of October in Japan.

Okay, guys, I checked all over. The second and third biggest franchises, Pokemon and Zelda, have anniversaries in February, on the 27 and 21. Anyone find it possible?

I mean, there's a good chance that if we get veteran reveals for anniversaries, then it would probably have to be for a huge franchise.

It's not too much of a stretch, we got Toon Link and Sonic in days between each other. Any thoughts?
