Roster Prediction Discussion Thread

Good afternoon all, hope you're all doing well.

Well, looks like things are going slow this afternoon, so I decided to make another rooster:

Enjoy, as it'll soon become part of Papa Rick's Crispy Chicken brand. Anyways, no cuts, 49 characters, 7 DLC characters, what are your thoughts?

It is a good roster, I think Tiki is a cool choice, and at least she's not Chrom. But Roy's MAH BOI! And I like no cuts, just cause I don't want any. I'd choose Isaac over Shulk, but he's a good choice too. I'd totally buy Roy, Pichu, Dr.Mario, Dixie Kong, and Toon Zelda for DLC. But I don't really know who Zael and Aeron are.

Batman wouldn't really fit. Maybe Lego Batman. I would want him in Smash though. Make it happen Sakurai!

I would satisfied with this roster, minus Tiki. Replace her for Chrom or Lucina. And bonus points for keeping Lucario

What's wrong with Shulk, Zael, and Aeron?

I see Shulk as SORT OF a "muh recency" character and there is no way he's more deserving than Issac. Also having all 3 of them in the same game is pushing it. Last Story & Pandora's Tower don't seem to be HUGE Nintendo franchises.

I think he's more deserving than Isaac and he is in no way a "muh recency" character. Shulk is one of the 3 Project Rainfall games, is one of the best acclaimed Wii games being with Zelda and Mario, he seems to be getting another game, he is also very popular. Having Zael and Aeron there would complete the trio too and it's best to have those 2 as DLC.

If you're talking about Aeron and Zael, they are not from Xenoblade. Aeron's from Pandora's Tower and Zael is from The Last Story.

Xenoblade has already gotten Sakurai's attention. He tweeted a picture of the Monado. (Is that what its called?)

The only way Shulk made it in is if Sakurai feels he is a worthy inclusion with moveset potential. We can't predict if he did that until we see anything Xenoblade related.

Except Ridley is the Bowser of Metroid and Mewtwo is one of the most popular an important Pokemon of the series. They didn't get in for nothing, but fan demand like you suggest Shulk would. Bad comparison.

I think having a Xenoblade stage is all we really need.
