Exactly. Even as a top-seller on both Xbox and PS3, they set so much hope on this one title, a series that is barely known outside of Japan. They killed a franchise with their own warped ideals of having a huge revolutionary outcome of a game that not only isn't very well-known by America, but it came out during a time when they were already shoving HD remakes down the throats of their consumers and people were starting to get sick and tired of it. Even now, they're releasing barely any new games, just ****ING ULTRA STREET FIGHTER IV.

Also, it's good to see the director of Resident Evil finally getting to make the Resident Evil game he/we always wanted with "The Evil Within".

Not picking on you, but basically the whole argument. Jesus Christ people, it's fine to have opinions, but really? Roy fans are getting butthurt at the whole MUH RECENCY **** while Chrom fans are ****ting on Roy fans for simply liking him. Both sides are hypocritical.

It sounds rather hypocritical considering the only reason Roy got in Melee in the first place was MUH RECENCY. Sounds like Roy fans are butthurt Roy lost that MUH RECENCY edge to Chrom (when it was really Ike who took that MUH RECENCY from Roy). Blame Ike, not Chrom. :troll:

You are right.. my mistake. Roy got in because he was the ideal last-minute filler clone of Marth... and yet Roy fans bash Chrom for being an Ike clone. How hypocritical considering Chrom isn't even a clone, let alone IN Smash... so there's no evidence that proves that Chrom is an Ike clone.

So I guess Marth, Ike, Marth clone is better than Marth, Ike, Ike clone... amirite? :troll:

This is a good subject. People say stuff like Roy got in cuz recency, and Pichu got in because clone. The truth is: They Did. BUT, there were other contributing factors. Roy had a fiery blade which influenced him and Pichu was the best Pokemon to represent Gen 2. I mean he was probably one of the most popular if not the most popular of that gen and represented the baby Pokemon. Dr. Mario earned it too. Sure he was added because of Music and Clone, but if it hadn't been for what he'd done, it would have been a different Mario.

There's so much competition between Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Silver, Robotnik, etc. over a second Sonic character slot, that I think it would actually be better just to leave Sonic by himself.

I can imagine people fighting and yelling things like "BUT SHADOW SHOULD"VE BEEN IN! WHY SILVER?!?"

Not like any of them were going to happen anyway, disregarding possible cameos via stuff like stickers and trophies.

If there was going to be a second rep for a third party series it would definetely be the Sonic Franchise, but even still the chances of that happening are very low. Sonic is fine as is, and there isn't too much of a reason (at least currently) to have more than one character from a third party series.

Furthermore, they all have potential, and no matter which one would be chosen, the a good portion of the Sonic fanbase would still wind up complaining.
