Shadow represents the worst a company can do; fan pandering, wussing out of their own narrative for the sake of fanservice, lazy character designing, trying to appeal to a target demographic that isn't actually their main audience and thus alienating their original fans, demoting characters that were previously important to second fiddles, and trying to become 'darker and grittier' to show how mature they are.

no that sounds about right. u seem to be under the impression that being on the home console means more than all the other games he was in. ur talking about changing the design to represent an art style that as of right now we don't know will be used again. he should be the all encompassing Yoshi we see in the past Yoshi games, the handheld games and his design that's used in the Mario titles where he's featured. the design isn't just for Yoshi's Islands sake, that's the way he's always been portrayed up until now.

Yeah. I know the implications of what I am saying. I am more surprised by the blatant denial of the possibility. Seems like the universal consensus is that it isn't possible. This has convinced me to support Yarn Yoshi. Just the design. It will give me something to do. The negative reception is nice for the skin. The most fun part about it is reading some of the counter arguments. Apparently people don't have them memorized like they do with Ridley arguments. It is actually quite funny to see how unintelligent some people SOUND when they just rush to disagree. Not even thinking about what they just typed. Then again, most people are questioning my sanity because I believe in the possibility. So it is all the same really.

Yes, they will. Because even after Yarn Yoshi that will be the version. It's how Yoshi has always been and how everybody loves him. Yoshi being made of Yarn is not a thing of his and won't be a recurring thing either. I Guess we should get the Dream Team Designs of the Mario Bros.

They will just ignore his biggest home console release after Yoshi's Story (14 years ago, older than Smash).

Why are you responding to my watered-down version of the arguments you already gave me? You are just literally repeating the same thing. That wasn't a post where I was trying to support Yarn Yoshi. So you are wasting your time. In fact, most of your responses are my response worded differently. The intent of that post was just to joke around at some of the arguments by restating the arguments in a sarcastic tone. Haha.

That came across as rude. I don't really know how to phrase it properly. I was just recycling arguments and putting them in a post. I didn't mean for anyone to respond. There was nothing in there you could rebut. It was already done for you.

Bandana Dee has a spear,that's original and cool.
Waddle Dee is one of Dedede's moves,but not Bandana Dee,he can murder other Waddle Dees in Kirby's Return to Dreamland.
Kirby is one of the most important Nintendo games,the possibility of a fourth rep is likely (Not Prince Fluff ugh).

Doesn't necessarily means there will be 11 more newcomers, for there might be more trailers showing off additional features. However, judging by this I do think we will be getting an animated intro for every newcomer, which has already been hinted by Sakurai previously

The idea is that by Manly Manly, I mean his over the top Japanese VA, Kyle Hebert is his English VA. Kyle Hebert is a great VA and I love his work, but he sounds too laid back and chill to voice such a hot-blooded character like Kamina. Speaking of which...He and Bang Shishigami should have a hot-blooded contest.

Interesting, but there might be Smash directs also included..
But they might announce 1-3 newcomers per Smash direct, so really we still don't know how many newcomers we will have

Actual reasons he's not likely to get in?
Sega are promoting Tails and Eggman far more than Shadow these days. Incidentally it seems all the more recent games have been getting better reviews.

Speaking of animated trailers, I came up with the best one ever.
So there's DK in the right side of the boxing ring, taunting. Mario points to the other side, and Little Mac is there, throwing warm up punches. "LITTLE MAC PUNCHES IN!"
Cue Little Mac gameplay clips and Punch Out theme.
As Little Mac is punching DK, a mysterious figure slides in with a sword. You zoom in and discover that it is Takamaru. He runs up ready to attack.
Cue Takamaru gameplay and theme.
Suddenly, as Little Mac and Takamaru are fighting DK, King K. Rool runs in with his boxing gloves and bumps DK off to the side.
Cue K. Rool gameplay and Gangplank Galleon.
King K. Rool hits his fists together and laughs, as Little Mac and Takamaru look at each other and nod.
They jump towards King K. Rool, and the trailer ends.

The Smash Bros. YouTube channel has the three trailers with 4 regional versions. The Developer Directs are not in this channel but on the official Nintendo channels.

3 English (North America)
3 Japanese
3 Europe (Videos in English with selectable subtitles in German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese and Russian)
3 English (Australia)

I checked the playlists via the official website: there are four playlists for each of the four regions.

The Developer Direct videos are not in the Smash Bros. channel but on the several Nintendo channels (Japanese, American, Australian and the European channels).

Actually, I checked the several languages, and observed this:

There's one extra play list for Russia that differs from the European one, which uses a different age rating system from the rest of Europe which uses PEGI. That's why there are different versions of the same videos.


This said, you have 5 regions and three trailers, meaning a total of 15 videos.

This explains it perfectly.

I am going to go. I would just quickly like to note something. My opinion on Yarn Yoshi is only because I want Yarn Yoshi. Not because I actually believe the transition would happen. The biggest thing I would like to discuss alludes to the relevancy of a debate. I have my opinion supported by fact. Everyone else has an opinion supported by fact. Yoshi is not currently released, so no one is right at this given moment. It could honestly go either way. Is it more likely to shift in my favor? No. The opinion that Yoshi will retain his iconic design is far more rational. Sakurai hasn't stated anything in regards to Yoshi, so at this point, I am entitled to my opinion. So is my opinion silly? Yes, I would be unintelligent if I claimed that I didn't understand why I was getting criticism. On the other hand, berating me because I happen to not share your opinion is unnecessary. We both have arguments supported by fact, so why can't we respect eachother's opinions? What harm comes of actually considering the opposing view point even if it doesn't meet your expectations. Sorry if I was rude to anyone. Sometimes I get a little too defensive. I don't like my intelligence being questioned simply because I wouldn't mind a new Yoshi design. So no hard feelings. See everybody later. Jigglypuff.
