All I'm saying is that Wolf is yet another semi-clone who is not a veteran. Falco deserves the spot over Wolf, and Wolf is by no means a shoo-in.

Semi-Clone? Everything Wolf does is practically different than Fox and Falco, especially all of his normals. His Special attacks may essentially be like Fox and Falco's but they operate almost completely differently from each other.

Heh, now more people are using it. Anyways, it was expected, it was always Sakurai's intention to have them similar.

You really needed to be there when the Pyrosphere stage was unveiled alongside Sakurai's controversial comment. Even the mention of Ridley on there to this day causes havoc to the point that if you want to make yourself clear that you're joking about something you need to call him Yeldir instead.

Aye, it was the worst time to be a Ridley fan on that site as the haters came out and bashed the hell out of them, and it's still not that much better either. Toad fans are also going through the same thing currently.

I guess, but of course to add a bunch of newcomers, somebody's got to go. Toon Link is the perfect younger Link for Smash, he should stay, and he is staying.
Characters like Wolf can get replaced by newcomers like Ridley easily. It's just a matter of priority and who Smash really needs.

It could be K. Rool, Palutena, Little Mac, Tingle, whatever.
I just see Wolf as a very low priority character who is at a large risk of being cut.

We thought the same about about Toon Link...I don't think that logic can hold so much when it's clear we're not playing by the same rules as we were during Brawl's development.

Any character that someone says cut is argued about. Some cuts probably will occur, whether everyone likes them or not doesn't matter.

Wolf is not "very low priority". I also don't think Tingle is going to show up.

Yep. Obviously Sakurai thought Toon Link, Wolf, and Jiggz were low priority in Brawl. But hey, Toon Link's back in action. I'm pretty sure his ideas on who is prioritized more has changed. But hey, who knows?

Wow, I am pumped for this game. Toon Link right there is what got me truly excited for this game. Now all we need is Mewtwo and Palutena, and I can't give two ****s about what'll happen next.

I for some reason have a gut feeling vets are being prioritized more then newcomers, I could be completely wrong but if there was going to be a usual large focus on new guys I doubt so much thought would be put into something like changing Bowser's moveset

I'm not too sure. Sakurai may revisit his idea of Toon Zelda. Or we don't get a Zelda newcomer.

But Tingle. Sure, he's decently popular in Japan, and is one of the more recurring characters in Zelda, but he's... Tingle. I don't know, I wouldn't hate him and flip if he gets in, but I get a bad vibe from it.

I have an amazing vibe from him. He's quirky, uncanny, and most importantly, interesting. He has Balloon Fight, LoZ, and Rosey Rupeeland stuff to work with. But I think we will get Toon Zelda. Which is a shame really.

See, the thing is, you'd be right.. if IS and TPC didn't have a say in what content goes in Smash. I think specifically with TPC, they're going to ask for a new Pokemon to be added, and Lucario or PT is going to be put at bottom priority. It has the potential to be Roy and Mewtwo all over again, but with Ike and Lucario/PT.

I love Wolf, and would rather see Falco thrown out over him.

I would say Ike or Lucario is more expendable than Wolf (who is a series mainstay). Snake is probably the most expendable one of all though.

I think Snake is the most vulnerable character to be cut. For Nintendo characters, its probably Ike followed by Lucario. Wolf or Lucas may be bumped out due to time constraints, while Ice Climbers may be cut (or butchered to be stand alone) due to 3DS hardware problems.

I think Sakurai will try to keep everyone (with the possible exception of Snake), and try to bring Mewtwo and Roy back (and possibly even Dr. Mario).

All I care about, other than Ridley, are my Melee main and my Brawl Main, and if I'm super-lucky, I may have them both by the end of next month.

I have a theory.

Considering Luigi, Olimar, and now Toon Link have a link () leading to the website of the game that they are advertising, it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to assume that they will happen with characters that have games coming out in the near future. This would include Diddy, Yoshi, etc...

Now, I already checked to see if there is a DKCTF website, but there isn't much of anything. There is a site for SM3DW, but it's a work in progress. Pokemon X/Y is obviously up, and so is the site for Sonic Lost World.

Not that it means much, but particular upcoming releases at the current moment have websites up. I'm sure there will be a site up for DKCTF eventually. Basically, characters outside these series may not get much of any reveal until later.

My guess is that if, for example, Chrom gets revealed, that will open to door for a confirmation of Marth and/or Ike. Again, this is speculation on my part, and we've been wrong a few times already. But that is the fun of it, no?

Except he is. It's completely unreasonable in every way. Why would Sakurai make the exact same mistake he made in Brawl,? Why would he remove such an incredibly popular character and leave us with a roster of only Gen 1 Pokemon? It's completely illogical and unreasonable in every respect.

Star brought this up yesterday, but I'm sure there is a reason Sakurai has brought up Sonic in interviews about 3rd parties, but not Snake.

I'm very excited. And I'm hoping we get to see Mewtwo and Sonic next month. It's a bit of a stretch, but they are pretty far apart from each other in October. I don't even care for Sonic but I'll be so excited if he returns, and we have Mario, Megaman, and Sonic in the same game... oh my lord.

Major problems with this

• You only cut ONE character. Sakurai isn't just going to cut 1 character that is not fair or logical in the slightest.
• Why on earth would he have just enough time so that he only had to cut one character?
• It's completely unfair to cut 1 third-party and not the other
• Why does Wolf have everything going for him? He's a great addition and would suck entirely to see him leave, but you have to make hard choices which are never going to be the ones you want.

If we have to wait for new games to come out, we're not going to see Captain Falcon or another Starfox character in this game anytime soon =/
