Mario & Sonic Guy
Old rivalries live on!
Sakurai can be quite mysterious most of the time.Mewtwo?
Sakurai seems to be showing off (presumably) unlockable characters early, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Personally...since I know it's going to be a Pokemon vet....I want it to be Jigglypuff. Jigglypuff is probably the character with the most controversy surrounding it right now, especially thanks to lack of relevancy in recent years, so seeing her announced as the second Pokemon in Smash 4 would be a breath of fresh air. Not to mention now that Jiggs is a Fairy type, she has a reason to be announced along with the game that started this brand new type.So what do you guys think were getting next vet or newbie?
As I said before, ANY Pokemon veteran confirmation (Mewtwo included) is going to be a big deal since there is a lot of idiots for each of them saying that they are on the chopping block.I really just want Pokémon Trainer to get all of those "The 3DS can't handle him" and "Johto/Hoenn/Sinnoh/Unova/Kalos Trainer replacing him" ideas out of the window. Jigglypuff would also be nice.
That's what makes Sakurai so unpredictable. We don't know who he'll reveal next. That is not until November. And November is already crowded with Super Mario 3D World and A Link Between Worlds.
Statements like this justify my previous post. I think at the very least Jigglypuff is safer than Lucario and Pokemon Trainer, if for nothing else but her seniority. Also, the whole "but but low priority" thing about her in Brawl pretty much got shot down earlier today with Toon Link's confirmation.Personally...since I know it's going to be a Pokemon vet....I want it to be Jigglypuff. Sonic Lost Worlds is a bigger release than that.I'm pretty sure it'll be a Pokémon or even an unexpected vet character, like Ness or Marth. Sonic most likely whenever they release M&S Sochi winter olympic games.
Not really, the only thing that got shot down was that Toon Link was low priority, the fact that Toon Link was announced VERY early doesn't exactly correlate to Jigglypuff being more important, it just means that Toon Link was seen as more important this time around. Anyways, I will easily agree that she's more important than Lucario right now...but I'm not sure about the Pokemon Trainer.Statements like this justify my previous post. Do you think he'd be held back for this reason so as to save some hype for later? Particularly if he's the last major popular character included for god knows what reason, I could see this being the case.I still think Mewtwo would be the best choice. The guy is the most wanted character in both Japan and the West.
Playable stage hazard?Well that would be strange. Why would a mere cameo generate hype?
Then again, it's Sakurai.
I can see this happening. I doubt Sakurai will reveal every last character, veteran or newcomer in the exact same way he currently is revealing them.Do you think he'd be held back for this reason so as to save some hype for later? You really weren't there around NSider at least, were you?I'm not saying people won't be excited, most characters cause some people to **** themselves, look at Toon Link. I'm saying Sonic will only have a fraction of the reaction he got the first time (which I was around for, and therefore can hypothesize what the proportionate reaction will be this time). The initial awe is gone, and what remains is his very strong popularity, so he'll be received as a very popular character returning, the reaction will be bigger than for most veterans, but not something earth-shattering like the first time.
I bet more people will go "AMAZING" for Mewtwo.
When was our last big direct?I really wonder what's going on with the Japanese side of things. There has been no release date set yet for a whole bunch of major 3DS and Wii U titles. A Link Between Worlds, Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, and Wii Party U all lack a Japanese release, yet have release dates for North America and Europe?
I sense an upcoming Nintendo Direct....
I think the earliest possible newcomer we get is Mewtwo (if he even counts as one). Otherwise, we may get a newcomer to tie in with Wii Party U/Wii Sports Club or Super Mario 3D World. When was our last big direct?
October or November are possible. Also, be noted, so far to my eyes in North America we have NOTHING for Quarter 1 asides from that new Yoshi game. There's been speculation that next year may be dedicated to Yoshi, so we may get a Yarn Yoshi U announcement very soon.
I'm not keeping my hopes high on newcomers though.
Mewtwo's a veteran, but much like any third-parties and any characters that didn't make it to Brawl, a much more appreciated one.I think the earliest possible newcomer we get is Mewtwo (if he even counts as one). Otherwise, we may get a newcomer to tie in with Wii Party U/Wii Sports Club or Super Mario 3D World.
I think Zelda and Diddy Kong have a good chance of happening in November and December respectively. Sonic may happen in October as well.
Early August with the Luigi reveal. October would be a very good time for another big Direct. When was our last big direct?

Surprised I haven't seen anything that said:My conclusion after looking through some posts: GameFAQs isn't bad, it's some very active users that are bad and jerkfacery.
I kinda think it's this way in most internet communities, to varying degrees, obviously.
You really needed to be there when the Pyrosphere stage was unveiled alongside Sakurai's controversial comment. Even the mention of Ridley on there to this day causes havoc to the point that if you want to make yourself clear that you're joking about something you need to call him Yeldir instead.Surprised I haven't seen anything that said:
"Why is Sakurai keeping weak, pathetic clones?"
I never saw GameFAQS as bad, just silly at times. I like browsing there sometimes.

Reading this I can't help but imagine Sakurai flying in the sky in a sleigh drawn by his cat while shouting "Merry christmas and happy new year of Luigi".I really hope there's a Nintendo Direct on December, revealing more newcomers like Toad, Little Mac, etc. That would be an ideal Christmas present to Smash fans.
I don't see mew two being revealed this early just yet we still probably have a good amount of verse first he should be the grand finale of the pokemon franchise.
This actually depend of the configuration of your screen if I remember well, I have myself for exemple only 2 spots left on the last row. This is the first time where there are three spots left on the last row on the site, three slots = 1 newcomer.
Well then screw my theory. But I still believe Mewtwo is next. We are long overdue for a newcomer, and some over-the-top hype (Toon Link wasn't enough for people, I guess) and I think Mewtwo's return from his seemingly long hiatus will do just that. This actually depend of the configuration of your screen if I remember well, I have myself for exemple only 2 spots left on the last row.
Doesn't matter, it's a responsive website, which means it adjusts to the screen's resolution and to phones too. There's nothing to be found with the site's layout.Wait.. I mean three spots left to be filled, there are only two characters on the last row. Sorry for the confusion, but do you mean two empty spots left or two characters left on the last row?
Oh.Doesn't matter, it's a responsive website, which means it adjusts to the screen's resolution and to phones too. There's nothing to be found with the site's layout.
