imo, Wolf is the most likely cut, followed by Jigglypuff and Toon Link. They were low priorities in Brawl, and I don't think anything has changed enough for them to be given higher priority.
Also, thoughts on no Mario newcomers, but we get King K. Rool and Dixie Kong.
They could change it, but taking it out completely is a horrible option. I'm getting off topic here, so I'm done with this.By having that mechanic he made it to where none of the 3 would be used that much.
I highly doubt R.O.B. will be cut, he brought a lot of things to Smash from my point of view. The cuts I see likely: Jigglypuff, Snake, Wolf, R.O.B., one of the Mother kids, and maybe Sonic.
This is only if cuts are certain.
I dont see why most people want R.O.B. gone anyway I mean i dont like him but I am against unique movesets being cut.I highly doubt R.O.B. will be cut, he brought a lot of things to Smash from my point of view.
Plus, that would be killing a franchise in Smash. He represents his own franchise, I doubt they would do that, which is also a reason why I don't completely doubt Snake's return.
He said he thought R.O.B. was a cut he could see happening, not that he's against R.O.B. returning, but I agree with you otherwise.I dont see why most people want R.O.B. gone anyway I mean i dont like him but I am against unique movesets being cut.
I never said anything about WANTING him gone.I dont see why most people want R.O.B. gone anyway I mean i dont like him but I am against unique movesets being cut.
I agree. The ones I see having the worst priority are, like Peachy said, the last 3 Brawl characters.I highly doubt R.O.B. will be cut, he brought a lot of things to Smash from my point of view.

People want R.O.B. gone because he apparently stole a slot for another character and to this day people are still butthurt that we didn't get Geno or something.I dont see why most people want R.O.B. gone anyway I mean i dont like him but I am against unique movesets being cut.
Lucky for us, now we have Wii Fit Trainer to serve as the new scapegoat for people's most-wanted characters! ;D -.-People want R.O.B. gone because he apparently stole a slot for another character and to this day people are still butthurt that we didn't get Geno or something.
People just cannot appreciate what they get.
People are so stupid. Besides, I love playing as ROB!People want R.O.B. gone because he apparently stole a slot for another character and to this day people are still butthurt that we didn't get Geno or something.

"I can't arguably say why taking the mechanic is a horrible option but I know I am right so I am just going to say I am done with this to try and get the last word in." What you sound like to me. :LThey could change it, but taking it out completely is a horrible option. I'm getting off topic here, so I'm done with this.
Well to be fair, it's Youtube. That place is full of idiots.People are so stupid. Besides, I love playing as ROB!
Oh, to get away from this discussion for a bit, I was on YouTube looking at SSB4 videos. One person said in the comments that people who complain about Meta Knight just suck and he doesn't need to be toned down since tier lists are stupid.
Another bystander agreed, stating Meta Knight is just "a clone of Kirby with a sword".

Oh....well then carry on.I never said anything about WANTING him gone.
I'm not a supporter of R.O.B.'s removal at all, and hate when people remove him because of that.People want R.O.B. gone because he apparently stole a slot for another character and to this day people are still butthurt that we didn't get Geno or something.

I want to find this man just so I can slap a sense filled hand on his face 100 times.Another bystander agreed, stating Meta Knight is just "a clone of Kirby with a sword".

This. At least give us an option to play solely as a specific Pokemon, or just get rid of it completely. I'm terrible with squirtle, and decent with Charizard, but I'm a pro at Ivy. Id just want to play as him instead of constantly getting knocked out with Squirtle."I can't arguably say why taking the mechanic is a horrible option but I know I am right so I am just going to say I am done with this to try and get the last word in." What you sound like to me. :L
The fact that it forces you to basically play all 3 goes against a key factor of what Smash is and that factor is having options galore. Smash is about playing the character you want to play as. So what if people want to play only Charizard? So what if people want to only play squirtile? So what if you only want to play Ivysaur? Smash is about options, and that includes being able to play as the character you want. You're not froced to use both Zelda and Sheik or Samus and ZSS (at least not in the same sense as PT). If someone wants to play soley as Charizard they should be able to, plain and simple, and that character should not be nerfed completly over time and shouldn't be forced to switch upon death. Give me one legit good reason why stamina and forced switching is a good mechanic. And none of the BS of "but people will only play 1 Pokemon instead of all 3 then" because guess what your line of thinking that a player should play all 3 is wrong as people should actually be able to play who the want however many times they want without that character getting nerfed during the match or being forced switched upon death.
It will much more apparent later down the line when people use Wii Fit Trainer as to why some lame ass character didn't get in, ignoring the aspect that Wii Fit Trainer is probably one of the most unique characters we have.Lucky for us, now we have Wii Fit Trainer to serve as the new scapegoat for people's most-wanted characters! ;D -.-
I wish I could agree with you... but I fear no amount of character balance and unique moves will stop the everyman from hating on Wii Fit Trainer for taking their precious Takamaru/Bomberman/Dixie/Zoroark/George Zimmerman's spot. In a way I almost feel like Sakurai announced her early on to get all the primary hate out of the way before release, since R.O.B. was not only an unlockable, but one of the last leaked characters - I can only guess people were disappointed because they felt like R.O.B. was something of an anti-climax, having all the 'big guns' announced early on in the Dojo's life.It will much more apparent later down the line when people use Wii Fit Trainer as to why some lame *** character didn't get in, ignoring the aspect that Wii Fit Trainer is probably one of the most unique characters we have.
Its just so sad, though. People are really that stupid. Sigh, when the apocalypse comes they'll be the first to go.Well to be fair, it's Youtube. That place is full of idiots.

I agree. I mean, as soon as we saw Wii Fit Trainer I saw people on here complaining the roster's going to be ****. But we all got used to her, well, at least most of us. I think what Sakurai did was a very smart moveI wish I could agree with you... but I fear no amount of character balance and unique moves will stop the everyman from hating on Wii Fit Trainer for taking their precious Takamaru/Bomberman/Dixie/Zoroark/George Zimmerman's spot. Of course, it's all ******** either way - but yeah, hopefully Wii Fit Trainer getting shown off early on will help people get adjusted rather than putting a stick up people's arses as one of the last few characters, like R.O.B. did.
People are really that stupid.
Gah, why are these particular pics so funny??

The list definitely feels over-inflated as it is. Is there anyone I'm leaving out? Anyone at all?
What I'd like to do is assemble a grand list of characters here and later see if we can narrow this thing down to a consensus group of characters.
Maybe Medusa, her being a villain and all.So I got bored.

I figured Palutena would be the choice above Medusa if we get any Kid Icarus character at all, but I'm getting ahead of myself. Add before I judge. I'll put her up there.Maybe Medusa, her being a villain and all.
Don't know enough about Kid Icarus to be sure.
This is extremely accurate.
Those two as well, I guess.Well, Lucina has some shot, as does Ghirahim. But I think that's it.
And still no Meowth...So I got bored.

I fail to see a single notable appearance he has in the Pokemon games beyond being one of Team Rocket's Pokemon in Yellow and a starter in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, but sure, we'll add him too.And still no Meowth...
I guess it's because of the context. Like, a comment is made and a certain character is just sneaking to see whats up like "Did someone say X?"Gah, why are these particular pics so funny??

Hey, it's something to do until the arguments start back up again.I think it's pretty redundant to even make a list of 'plausible newcomers', just because every Smash provides us with at least one newcomer that blows our idea of plausible out of the window... but yeah sure, for what it is, it's pretty solid. There's a lot more retro's I'd add personally but as the list of conventionally expected/requested characters, it's fairly concise.
FINE GEEZ I'll add Dr. Mario right away. That's good in my eyes. No objections from me.
Wait. You may want to add Dr. Mario. Just in case Sakurai goes back to his idea of it. Then its good.
Genesect is starting to stretch it considering it'll be old news by the time of X&Y without being as long-lasting as Lucario nor as 5th generation notable as Zoroark. Genesect is going to have as much of a chance as Deoxys and Darkrai at this rate, I feel, especially when compared to the other choices. What about Genesect?
Oh yeah. I guess I missed Mach Rider. Anyone else while I'm at it? I think Takamaru, Lip, and Mach Rider all give us the most out of retro choices.I think it's pretty redundant to even make a list of 'plausible newcomers', just because every Smash provides us with at least one newcomer that blows our idea of plausible out of the window... but yeah sure, for what it is, it's pretty solid.
