Roster Prediction Discussion Thread

At risk of causing another flame war... if Bomberman were to get in (just hypothetically! I know both Snake and Pac-Man are more likely), what kind of things would he be packing in terms of moveset? The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that it would be of crucial importance for Bomberman to have his patented cross-shaped explosions, so to speak:

Bombs like this would definitely make Bomberman stand out... but I'm wondering what else could make Bomberman a truly unique character. Again, to anybody who wants to jump aboard the hate bandwagon, I'm not asking for your preditions of how likely he is - just what you'd like to see from his moveset if he were included.

Sorry to go off-topic, but It's a "Rouge-like" series of games where you explore randomized dungeons. A little hard for me to explain. Watch some walkthroughs of PMD1: Rescue Team or any of the other games on YouTube.

The series is a crossover with Chunsoft's Mystery Dungeon series and Pokemon.

Honestly, what if I went out there and accused YOU of being an alt account of somebody else? You would feel insulted and embarrassed, right? In fact, you would deny it, because it's wrong. I'm tired of people making false accusations against me, whether it's a misunderstanding of my personal religious or political beliefs or whether it's accusing me of personally insulting people or whether its everybody going around and saying I'm the worst thing to happen on this site. He could place Bombs, move them by kicking, and blow them up by pressing D-Spec.
It's pretty easy to figure for a moveset.

Once again, when people criticize me for my beliefs, they can't back up their claims, and then run off. Fine then, I don't mind, it means much less drama. I'll see you all later!

No love for the Charabons (Karabons)? I'd personally love to see one of them in his recovery to jump him to safety, but I fear people would either see them as being too similar to Yoshi, or too similar to Megaman's recovery in which he drops Rush into the abyss to save himself (poor Rush). ):

EDIT: For that matter, the Louie's(?) from the old 16-bit games would make fantastic companions to jump Bomberman to safety. I don't know if they're still about, but they'd work wonders.

I think so, despite being a crossover. There are no characters in PMD that are from other companies or franchises; it's all Pokemon.

As for chances of a character from PMD, it'd say low to impossible at the moment.

There isn't really a character that is the face of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, other than Pikachu I guess.
I think the best bets for a PMD character in my opinion would either be Team Meanies from PMD1, Grovyle from PMD2, or Hydregion (the voice of life) from PMD4.

Cut characters as DLC would be very nice, as it gives space for other newcomers, but people disagree in the most hidden ways.

I believe they confirmed DLC to not be in Smash 4.

On the subject of the Pokemon reveal this October(which is when it's most likely to happen) who is everyone banking on?
Mewtwo, Puff, Lucario or Trainer? Multiples? I'm going to hazard we won't get anyone or anything new revealed at that time.

I'll put my money on Puff. Because of the four it's the one that seems least likely to answer any questions about any alterations and Sakurai seems to be playing his cards very close to his chest this time.

Victini is cute looking, and I have him on my ultimate 200+character wishlist roster, alongside N, Zoroark, Unova Trainer, and Genesect.
As for chances for SSB4...who knows?

Well I personally don't see a 5th gen rep getting in based on the fact that Mewtwo is back in action, and Zoroark (the Lucario of Gen 5) is not even close to the same popularity as Lucario OR Mewtwo.

Well, he IS Junichi Masuda's favorite pokemon. Also, you know what else he has that no one else has...aside from the ability to learn both of the special legendary moves known by Reshiram and Zekrom and a Fire/Psychic typing?

Well, it was about whether people would prefer Palutena or Dixie Kong in Smash 4, and then evolved (pun not intended) into whether Victini will be playable.

Well I personally don't see a 5th gen rep getting in based on the fact that Mewtwo is back in action, and Zoroark (the Lucario of Gen 5) is not even close to the same popularity as Lucario OR Mewtwo.

he's not as big as Mewtwo & Lucario, but he's the best Newcomer available. A pretty plausible one at that.

It's not so much that people hate Bomberman. It's more of the fact that he would be out of nowhere and really has nothing going for him at the present moment.

Oh Victini eh? I actually like Victini more so than Genesect and especially Zoroark always thought of it as the new gen mew like celibi and jirachi also it has butt wings,

so wouldnt be upset with this little guy as a playable charecter.
