To be fair, about the Mii, if everyone was playing as Mii, things would really get boring fast.

There are a small group of people that are pretty smart when it comes to Smash stuff on Youtube, good thing I brought them over to SmashBoards too, but other than them not many other people on there agree with me.Hah, would you look at that, looks like people actually agreed with me. On youtube, that's probably a first. As for the Mii video, I really need to check it out now, especially if an excuse like "Everyone would play as them" is used. XD
I'm surprised half of my stuff is even cared about as much as they are. I mean seriously, where did 90,000 views come from!?
The joke is that there's no way in heck that'd happen. You'd think that people would always select a Mii over characters like MegaMan, Mewtwo, Ridley, Little Mac, and better yet, the veterans they used in passed games? Some may, but I'm sure that they'd get tired of using the same character over and over again, especially if it's something as linear as a Mii.To be fair, about the Mii, if everyone was playing as Mii, things would really get boring fast.

This guy wants Smash fans to be disappointBy the way, you saw your Omastar drawing right?
Also...everyone, I have something I NEED to show you. People have been spamming this on my Smash videos and it is by far the poorest excuse of an argument I've ever seen...you guys really need to see this...and thumb it down.
If you die of laughter, I am not responsible.

Maybe it's your good drawings and Smash stuff? It's alot better than my 3,000-4,000, so maybe it is those drawings.
I'd be surprised if someone didn't say that about Boxing in Wii Sports first.but I think it'd be a tougher position to justify than, say, Smash Bros. is too violent a game for your grandmother to be physically assaulted throughout.
This is very true...it alls boils down to whether Smash fits within the strict parameters Iwata mentioned in terms of which games can feature the Mii.I'd be surprised if someone didn't say that about Boxing in Wii Sports first.
That's kind of how I am with every character as long as they don't get in another character's way. Except Birdo, Birdo shall never get into Smash or the world will burn.if Miis got in. its totally justifiable. i personally am 50/50 on them. it really depends on how they play to me
Also, they need to be more careful with Mii genders too. This is very true...it alls boils down to whether Smash fits within the strict parameters Iwata mentioned in terms of which games can feature the Mii.
Outside of their own, generic Wii games, the only games they would fit in (as playable characters) are Mario spin offs and maybe Pokemon, so you could have your Mii as a Pokemon Trainer.I just don't wanna see Miis in the game. I feel as though it really ruins the point of having Nintendo characters in. They're avatars, not an actual Nintendo character. It seems like Miis would be feel out of place or awkward in Smash.
I'd like to respond to your questions, but when people get worked up about something that's not a big deal, they tend to spam the whole thread with like 100 posts that are long enough you have to scroll. When I post my next roster I will respond to suggestions and questions, I will answer those. Usually when something is just a rant I tend to skim that or find less priority in acknowledging it. If you word them in a civil way and not spam the thread with your complaints I can respond accordingly. I have other things to do and try not to spend too much time on my laptop. Plus, I have like 5 quotes to respond to (this is an example of spamming, I can't tend to everyone. Hopefully I can answer this stuff on my next roster, assuming people don't flip the **** out. If there is too much I'll just respond to all answers in one post. But, right now it's mostly ranting and complaining and not much constructive criticism. There is also the problem of people having a problem with me defending characters.Next time don't just pick out the words of mine you want to use. Quote the whole thing you're addressing. So here it all is, listed and all. Now how about you become civil and just address these thoughts and opinions, instead of just raging, being rude, insulting us, or blatantly ignoring things. If you've argued a point already, do it again. This thread's massive and moves quickly. Doesn't hurt to put your arguments up here instead of saying, "Oh it's back 50-100 pages, why didn't you read it?"
Dangit Noah. We are on a different conversation now. That's something else I should point out. Don't ask me to explain my characters and then complain through gifs and sighs that am I doing so.
I actually noticed that this thread was full of posts complaining that "Noah started another thread war" which makes no sense because I not only refuse to take part in it and it consists of other people's posts and not so much mine. So if you have a problem with the thread getting out of hand, consult the people who are making things a bigger deal than they would be in reality. It takes the cooperation of the thread's majority in order for the thread to get out of hand, which is mostly what I've been complaining about.
But, I would like to point out your quotes:
Now how about you become civil and just address these thoughts and opinions, instead of just raging, being rude, insulting us.
Did you just repeat EVERYTHING I said. That's exaclty what I've been telling you to stop doing and you're trying to turn this on me? I'm not the one who started freaking out after this roster was made and started insulting it's choices. I can't really say anything about this quote except that's what YOU'RE doing. I'm sure you are aware of that because you seem to have requested I stop, using the same exact words I used when I told you to stop.
I'll just post the reasons for all my characters in the next roster update. Hopefully you will handle it better.
Then maybe you should stop acknowledging this post the way you are now, and quit replying to past comments.Dangit Noah. We are on a different conversation now. I don't want a huge fight going on again.

Damn straight I'm interested.I always loved Froakie from the start, but Chespin's growing on me, as well. Though, Gogoat is definitely going to be my Grass-type in my first playthrough.
And I actually made a Special moveset for Pinkie Pie a while back just for fun, if you're interested.
Well, I'll post it in a private message, as to not clutter the thread, haha.Damn straight I'm interested.
5th Gen actually hit me hard with my love for all the Grass types. Almost kept me from picking Snivy. But still going strong.
I have handled it fine. I don't insult you til you get angry and start attacking the members who criticize your roster. You are notorious for coming off as quite rude, but I'm asking you to tone it down. Just civilly respond to things. We had a large list of reasons against what you posted...just you never respond to the arguments. It may be hard for you, but just read everything. We all have lives. Why do you think I was AWOL for 4 hours when you personally attacked me? Regardless of life, it's your responsibility to defend yourself correctly instead of pointing fingers and getting upset. I did a blind nuzlocke run White 2 but I never beat itI did a day 1 Nuzlocke for White 2. Tempted to do so again since international release = going in blind and can't prepare for anything/make my picks.
This is plausible. However, i'm just trying to figure out if it's a monthly thing, or if it's a reveal every three weeks or what.Give it 18 more days or so. WFT's reveal was June 11th and Olimar was shown July 12th. We'll likely be shown another character on August 13th or somewhere around that point so as to keep the reveals completely spread out.
I laughed at this harder than I should have. Please don't edit this out!Stay clam.
The thing I use against her being just E3 is that she has her own update on the dojo, right after the initial launch. Notice how she has her own line. This means she was treated as her own update rather than just a part of the initial launch, it just happens to be the same day. This is plausible. However, i'm just trying to figure out if it's a monthly thing, or if it's a reveal every three weeks or what.
The reason I don't consider WFT anything other than E3 is because she was revealed at E3. Olimar is the first post E3 reveal, so if we start to look for patterns, it will be best to start with him.
If what you are saying turns out to be true, then I agree with you completely.
Same sentence structure, too. "The introduction for [veteran/new challenger], [name], is now available." For that reason, every 2nd week of the month seems to be the right time-frame of character reveals.

I've wanted him to be called Red since he was first revealed, I think it's a lot more iconic. I see why Sakurai named him how he did though, as he probably wanted the focus to be on the Pokemon and the Trainer was really just an avatar that facilitated them. I just wish he had gone a different angle.I think I'm also jumping on the bandwagon of people wanting to call him RED for SSB4. Mainly because I just remembered how AWFUL his cheering is in Brawl. "Pokemon, Pokemon, Pokemon" ... yuck
Chivalry to a female... by another female? Doesn't that go against the laws of physics? It's my chivalry-bound duty, ma'am.
Truth be told I haven't cared for a while either, mainly because others tend to correct 'em on my behalf.
Also I'd actually like Pinkie Pie.
Don't tell that to HyperFalcon.I think right now we shouldn't assume when exactly characters will be revealed, all we have to go on is WFT and Olimar, and tbh their timing could just be a coincidence. It won't be until we get at least like two more before we can confirm a definitive pattern, if there is one. For now it's honestly just a bunch of guessing.

And I see what you mean, seems I've gotten to the point where others will correct them for me as well. I've arrived!
Don't give me flashbacks Possum, I thought I had successfully blocked that traumatic experience.Don't tell that to HyperFalcon.
Alright, I'll bite. Who was he? Some primitive Noah or something?Don't tell that to HyperFalcon.

One of the speculation vets from the older threads. Has a thing about people calling Pokemon Trainer "Red" for some reason (it's even in his sig). Once spent about 5 pages trying to get him to shut up about it. That said he's still far from being the worst poster in the Smash 4 forum, several of us have had great conversations with him in the past, just needs to learn when to let an argument go.Alright, I'll bite. Who was he? Some primitive Noah or something?
I was debating this exact thing awhile back with the Vin Diesel avatar guy. It makes the most sense to call him Red because he's the most iconic Trainer from the game. If a trainer made it in, it should've been him (and was him in a sense).
I think his reasons for naming him PKMN Trainer were:
a) Red would confuse a lot of the casual players who don't play Pokemon as much, who didn't play early generations, or who only know his anime counterpart, Ash
b) He wanted to try to be nice to all the Gens by just giving him a generic name, thus representing the spirit of the essential part of Pokemon, IE just A Trainer
But c'mon. He looks like Red and has the 3 Kanto starters. He's Red.
Oh please, she's not on the same plain as Noah.Alright, I'll bite. Who was he? Some primitive Noah or something?
Outrageous would be an incredibly exaggerate way to describe them and is what most of my arguments end up being. You people aren't being closed minded for not agreeing with these characters, you're being closed minded for going off the deep end in you rating of their chances and your guarantee that it'd be impossible. Those are posts I have no intention of responding to because if you're THAT against a character, I'm not going to attempt to sway such an unwilling mind. This can also apply for Starfy. Only difference is that the Starfy argument usually leans towards him being a likely character.I have handled it fine. We don't mind you defending your picks either. Just use logic when defending them, otherwise just blatantly say it's a gut feeling if there is no logic involved. By the way, I've never posted a GIF or image. Just sayin'. Talk to those responsible, I'm just trying to get our points across to you with no hostility.
When you post your next roster, address your choices below with logic, not opinion. And if you have an outrageous choice (which occasionally you do), be prepared to defend it as well.
