Unfortunately, Roy's reverse hitbox mechanic hinders him in the long run. He also has various properties that don't do him favour as well. But yeah, Marth is ultimately far superior than Roy.

Roy coexisted peacefully with Marth in Melee, and almost did again in Brawl. Who's to say Marth and Roy can't coexist in Smash 4?

And, I really don't see Marth being cut any time soon. It's fine if people don't like or support certain characters. However, a big part of speculating is trying to form unbiased speculations as much as possible; take all the facts/evidence for and against a newcomer and try to come up with educated guesses. That is, if you're being serious and all. =P

I have a feeling Fire Emblem isn't as huge as people make it out to be... I mean I consider the following:

1.- Not represented in the trailer when all the "cool kids" franchises were being shown. So it tells me... not in the league of Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Metroid, etc.

2.-, and most importantly... Nintendo was actually going to stop producing FE titles if Awakening didn't sell well... At this point it's when it struck me.



But, it's good to see Awakening sold well (planning on getting it as soon as I get a 3DS) and the franchise didn't get discontinued.
I wouldn't wish discontinuation on ANY franchise.

Hey guys! How do yall like my new roster?

Chrom and Lucina can be changed if Sakarai doesn't fix the Ice Climber's soon enough.

That almost identical to mine just the following and its mine

First get rid of chrom and lucine toon link Dixie kong and vaati and either Ike or Roy

Second replace toad with bowser jr

Third replace paluntia with Magnus
(I'm not saying paluntia because of pits final smash with her in Titan size so how can pit get that final smash if she's playable unless you have a good replacement final smash nevermind on this switch)

Forth (plausible to happen) replace lucario with either zoroark or genesect
(remember genesect fits the bill acording to the story about how pokemon are chosen for ssb and genesect would fit the bill and it would be the extreme speed one since that one would have the moves side B blaze kick up B extreme speed different from lucarios changes to UFO form goes slight longer and does damage to every one touched normal B techno blast down B either shift gears or switch chips)

Fifth (this is not likly but only saying because of being possible) replace snake with pacman

(Pacman because namco bandai is helping sakurai and because he has a new adventure coming out for the wii u in 2013 I think and lastly fan request because of = dream battle (megaman vs sonic vs pacman vs Mario)
(And as for snake if the creator of him wants him in again he's fine and if snake gets in never mind on pacman replacing snake)

It's funny that in both trailers for Brawl and Smash 4 a FE stage was shown. So there's always that to think about... But I can see Sakurai trying to include 3 FE characters this time around, perhaps going back to what he almost accomplished in Brawl.

Heh.. well if STAR FOX gets 3, I don't see why Fire Emblem can't (as long as it brings variety).

On another note.. And this is something I was thinking like a week ago. Why are there people saying Kid Icarus is a "Sakurai" franchise? Gunpei Yokoi clearly came up with it. Sakurai is as much owner of KI as Retro or Team Ninja is of Metroid, or Namco for Star Fox, or Rare for DKC... you get the idea. XD

I honestly don't think the awakened form should be given shiek treatment because it wouldn't really have a different enough playstyle. It would practically be like Captain Falcon turning into Brawl style ganondorf as a Down B XD

Ike isn't that relevant any more true but my point is it would probably be a smarter idea to get someone more relevant first then just settling for Marth and some guy that isn't really important. Ike seems like a sort of lame place to settle at. It would be like if brawl only had Pikachu and Jiggs as the only pokemon reps. Pikachu? YES! Jiggs fair enough but you need to add more important guys as well to justify him!

Personally I'd prefer My Unit to be playable just because the other weapon types in fire emblem are underrepresented MAGIC! Just... MAGIC!

Palutena is more unique, requested, recurring, and important to Kid Icarus than Magnus. She is the Zelda of the game. Magnus is no better than another Ike with a bigger sword, and we have enough swordsmen. He also didn't play a huge role in Kid Icarus. He's more of an Assist Trophy.

Sakurai already stated Namco characters are not getting any special treatment. And if Snake is not present I think Bomberman would take his place.

Why Takamaru is possible: She is one of the most classic Famicom games in Japan and Western gamers recognize him. Why is he not possible?

This is how Palutena is possible:

Palutena has mentioned several times that she is NOT all knowing and NOT all powerful. So how does she not work?

Shulk? How does he not work? Please explain.

Ike is not going anywhere, he is the most popular lord of all (not counting Marth.)

As for Mewtwo, it has not been confirmed how Mewtwo becomes his awakened form. It's like assuming Mew can change into Mewtwo on command. Not to mention Mewtwo's new form probably isn't going to be unique enough from his normal form to warrant him his own interchangeable character.

Sure. (But that wasn't me; While I couldn't care less about MU, he is a pretty important part of the plot)
I just don't like him/her/it.
Probably cause he/she/it has some of the worst supports in the game, in my humble, flawed, stupid opinion.
