Completely agree with every placement of every character except for Roy. I don't think he has a decent chance, I would put him at a 50/50 shot as well. The FE series works different than others and as a result, Roy's popularity among Smash fans doesn't carry the same weight as popularity does for other Nintendo characters.

Roy's really popular in Japan, and pretty Popular here. I think it's enough to place him in the Decent Shot category. That's why he's there. His popularity is kind of ridiculous, honestly. Plus he's already been in Smash. But, that's just my opinion.

Waluigi is the Mario character with the most personality, theres no denying that, and ending up in almost every Mario spin-off and being highley requested and Mario reps Super Mario. .-. Again, the Pair Up featur of FEA was a huge mechanic and is likely to get shown if FEA gets a rep which is likely. The only spin-off character is Waluigi, but saying they are not actualy characters is jsut stupid. Ganondorf being able to transform would be way to cool, but it is also very much more likely that it will just be Ganondorf, but if they want to diversify Dorf without changing his moveset to much just allow him to transform into Ganon and boom he becomes more unique. In all honesty I feel like they both have equal importance, but I feel like Dixie has the better shot of getting in.

Glad to see you ignored the more deserving series' in the process, or series' that have yet to even be represented, by doing so as the point flew clean over your head.

We're focusing on Tom Nook's inclusion, and why it makes sense. I know clearly there are more series that deserve attention to have playable characters in Smash, not all series have to be represented. What series were you going to mention anyways.

Well Luigi and Wario and numerous Mario RPG characters compete for most personality. And if we're going by that, then Daisy should appear over Waluigi since she appears in MK7 and appears in a main Mario game.

To be honest, it'd probably be better. At least the characters from Nintendo are not bland and unlikeable...and don't look as if their hair was put in a wind tunnel...and imagine a dual-boss fight between Ridley and the Dragon from Shrek.

I think he owes all, or most of his and his game's popularity solely due to Melee.
I hear people say that FE6 isn't all that great, but I hear others say that it's still one of the more popular games in the series in Japan.

Zero Mission introduced ZSS, not Primes 1 or 2. Not sure why you'd think people would think that.

Metroid, Donkey Kong Country, Xenoblade, Punch-Out, Golden Sun, Sin & Punishment, The Secret Murasame Castle, Wario Land, etc.

Animal Crossing is a bigger franchise than many people seem to be suggesting. The sales for that franchise are unbelievable. Now of course just because a franchise sells well doesn't mean it'll get a rep. I mean look at Wii Fit... OH GOD!

But seriously folks. Animal Crossing now has one rep and I think that it's deserved. Do I think it deserves/will get two reps? Probably not but it's not the fore-gone conclusion many are making it out. Put it this way. Ridley is my most wanted character for the games but I dare say more people would recognise Tom Nook than him.

I heard that a while ago on some other forums Miyamoto said that because he didn't make the game or something I don't remember
but I do know Nintendo has said that the Metroid Prime trilogy is not canon because of other M

Yeah, his popularity is kind of ridiculous. I just don't agree with suggesting he is between Chrom and Lucina. I would say Lucina has a shot above Roy but still below Chrom because she possesses the same intangibles as Chrom, but from what I can tell, is a more popular choice among FE fans. The main thing she has working against her is that she's not the "main" main character, but the FE series works differently than other franchises in that it's generational and there can have multiple protagonists. Of course, that hasn't been proven that a side main character could go in over a "main" main character but this would be the time to do that.

Sorry, the roster is so bad in Project X Zone it can't be considered a real crossover, it's "We ran out of money" the RPG. As for new Mother character...

Yup.

Giegue/Giygas would be rather interesting, actually.
He'd fight in his original Mother 1 form, but his Final Smash would have a rare chance of overloading him with evil power and turning him into the infamous form seen in Mother 2.

I think Ninten would be in instead if a third Mother rep were to represent Mother 1.

But Giegue has been in more games (2 out of the 3) and is more recognizable.
Personally though, I'd like a third Mother rep to be Porky/Pokey Minch.

Also a bit of trivia on your "new mother character" suggestion. Apparently alot of people who worked for APE Inc. went on to work for Creatures Inc. And Giegue bears a surprisingly similar appearance to whom?

His original form is from Mother 1, his backstory was explained in Mother 1, and he was the main villain in Mother 1. I think that's what he means.

Here's a roster I put up a while back shortly after E3.

45 characters. It has 4 cuts (I hate cuts, but I'm being pessimistic about this.)

Mewtwo transforms into his 6th gen form, and N has Reshiram, Zekrom, and Zoroark. (doesn't seem likely now because of the Ice Climbers issue)

Shulk, Lucas, the new IP, and the third-parties are unlockable. (forgot to make their boxes red)

The three question mark slots are for a new Zelda character, a new IP character, and a new third-party character.
I might do a version without cuts later.

I'm actually very curious to know how many people have actually played Sin and Punishment...

It's honestly one of my favorite game series so I kinda find it odd when people that are Nintendo fans say that they've never played it/don't find it worthy for Smash.

Well I wouldn't say that. Roy seems like the prime choice for DLC (they would keep him as a semi-clone), in that he would be easy to make, and he seems to be popular enough that people would pay for him. So if Sakurai does include DLC, Roy would be a good choice for him to start.
