In regards to Snake. I like the guy in fact I like him more than Sonic so no, I wouldn't want him cut now. However, he wouldn't be a third party character I'd personally have chosen for Smash during Brawl though but ah well. What's done is done I guess.

In regards to the Mii. Eh I'd be more surprised if they didn't make it into this game to be honest but that's just my own gut feeling I suppose.... :/

Truthfully, I don't want Solid Snake back. While I do understand his inclusion in Brawl, he's literally a needle in a haystack for being in an M-rated franchise; all the other fighters only come from franchises that get either the E, E10+, or T ratings.

Metal Gear had also received this.

Let me tell you all something. When Snake was revealed, I was indifferent. A few years after Brawl came out, I decided to play as Snake because all of my friends and I thought he sucked.

Well, I started dominating my friends as him, and to this day he is one of my mains. Because of my liking, I decided to start playing MGS.

Since I have completed MGS 1, 2, 3, and 4, my stance on Snake has completely changed. I think he should stay in Smash for several reasons, but I've already been over those reasons.

Anyway, for those of you who are against him, but haven't played as him, or any of his games, I recommend that you do. It's a lot of fun. It can be challenging at times, but MGS is a great series, and Snake is a great character.

Just add Snake from Peace Walker and everything will be ok :awesome:

That is essentially my story in a nut-shell. Minus the notion that I never decided to main him, he just isn't my style.

Let me ask you M&SG, and this isn't a condescending question as I'm just wondering, but have you ever played MGS? If not, then I suggest you try to find a copy of MGS: The Twin Snakes, and you'll see the goofiness at work.
I'm not into the Metal Gear Solid titles. I have played a few shooter titles, such as Star Fox Assault, but none of them are M-rated.

If Snake was "literally" a needle in a haystack, he would be an actual needle in an actual haystack. Don't use "literally" incorrectly like that.

Alright. I'm telling you, it's a great series. I wholeheartedly recommend it to you.

If you go and try it, and still don't like it, you can ban me for a week :awesome:

Tell me that you're just trolling, as I was using a figure of speech there.
So I'm trolling because you can't use a word correctly and make the excuse that it was a "figure of speech"?

EDIT: A figure of speech would be "he is a needle in a haystack" as that invokes metaphor. "He is like a needle in a haystack" also works because of simile.
"He is literally a needle in a haystack" is no metaphor or simile. It's saying he is actually a needle in a haystack.

Absolutely not; it would be absolutely fallacious to disregard the success of the Wii era. Miis will always be a staple of Nintendo, it doesn't matter if they drop off or are no longer prevalent. They will always represent Nintendo's high-point in my opinion. I mean some might change their perspectives to something antithetical, but those are fad speculators, no one really cares what they think.
Fallacious to disregard entirely? Maybe. Fallacious to omit from the roster when said character's defining customizable nature might be impossible to transfer to a new non-Wii console, and when being iconic alone won't get a character in (see: Toad)? Not really. Also, them "always being a staple" would imply them recurring in every console from here on out, which may or may not happen if Nintendo releases a non-Wii console. There's also Wii Fit Trainer to "represent" the Wii era, if "reps" somehow becomes a character qualifier.

Apparently, if you don't want Solid Snake to return, you're going to get pummeled to the ground. I guess that's what I get for taking the bait.

As far as I'm concerned, it's your opinion and I respect it. Not everybody thinks the same so it's only natural.

I mean at least you aren't a 12 year old who gets uber butthurt about things.

I honestly couldn't give a flying **** whether you want Snake to return or not. Don't play the poor pitiful victim who's opinion is attacked because someone doesn't like it.
All I'm saying is that if you're going to make a "figure of speech" as you claim, do it right.

If that's "trolling" in your eyes, then I worry about your stance as a mod.

EDIT: And now I await the inevitable infraction for "flaming". And/or "trolling".

That was just a general statement, I wasn't necessarily alluding to the chances of Mii characters, if they aren't in Smash 4, I highly doubt they will make an appearance in Smash X. I just don't think that they should be so easily dismissed once they are not prevalent.

That's a shame. One thing though, its more of a stealth series than it is a shooter. Yes, shooting does occur, but it isn't the biggest draw of the series. It's more like being able to sneak up on the enemy and junk. They are at least worth checking out. Maybe you would like the lore.

Also this thread needs something to bring it back to life. Any character being revealed would help with that.

I know that there would be lots to discuss after Sheik's reveal... maybe not... but still.
