They bring problems along with them, like Hitler vs Jesus in an online match, but that's nothing that's going to stop them from working in Smash Bros. The problems are the simple reason we don't want them in though.

What are the reasons that they don't work? I seriously have yet to read a plausible notion that actually incites me to agree that they are not viable.
I think its more of a case of people simply not wanting them rather than not having a working moveset.
But in my opinion they would be very bland when compared to other veterans and even the newcomers.
Aaaaand the who Hitler Jesus thing.

Hitler vs Jesus is a problem? I thought that was a reason to have them to be perfectly honest :awesome:.

I see what you are getting at though.

This. I don't think a single person on here would argue that the Mii isn't an iconic character whose inclusion would made sense, but that doesn't stop me from considering the Mii the single worst character that could be added.

I agree with that sentiment; as many, I have already acknowledged that it is inevitable and that I should see the positives as opposed to the negatives.

I'd actually hate Pac-Man more. Actually, Mii and Pac-Man are the only two plausible characters I'd actively dislike, Chrom too if he throws Ike off, the rest are okay in my book.

I almost forgot about Pac-Man. That is also a pretty bad choice; I wouldn't assert that it is nearly as likely as the Miis inclusion though. We might get both, that thought scares me.

I'd hate why Pac-Man and Chrom got in, but the characters themselves are just middle-of-the-road bores, whereas the Mii is actively bad, taking up more development time than the average character while being repetitive and grating to the senses, and also far less avoidable online.

Put it this way, would you rather get a lame character that wouldn't require more development time than average and who is just one guy, or an invasive one with no redeeming qualities who requires additional development time for multiple height and weight combinations, all for a moveset that's already functionally in the game twice over, and who is, by its nature, millions of guys?

Pac-man just doesn't interest me.

I don't want to end up losing to Mii players using Miis that look like Jesus, nor do I want to fight or lose to Miis with dongs their faces, or Miis based on fictional characters I just don't like.

And since I don't know much about Fire Emblem I really wouldn't be upset about Chrom's inclusion, unless he replaced Ike.

The biggest reason I didn't want Mii characters is because we already have Villager, which emulates the Mii style. His play-style is also reminiscent of something I would expect out of Miis.

Just don't worry about their faces. That's all you have to do.

The only cool thing about Pac-Man would be the potential for an awesome matchup of Mario v Sonic v Mega Man v Pac-man. That's my own supportive note.

Otherwise I would prefer to keep Pac-Man out.

It's not really just that. I've wound up fighting tons of players considerably better than me online in Brawl, I'd be likely to run into some Mii mainers that are better than me as well. That's why I wouldn't want to lose to them, the face wouldn't be so distracting to me except at the beginning, and if I lost to a Mii with a dong on their face or whatever due to my inferior skill, I'd just be ticked off.

The Miis would be a big nuisance in online play, of that I'm sure of.

Absolutely not; it would be absolutely fallacious to disregard the success of the Wii era. Miis will always be a staple of Nintendo, it doesn't matter if they drop off or are no longer prevalent. They will always represent Nintendo's high-point in my opinion. I mean some might change their perspectives to something antithetical, but those are fad speculators, no one really cares what they think.
Considering that Miyamoto has always wanted to include avatars in games since the NES days, I would think that Miis would be around for a very, very long time...

That pic in the vid....
is that a reference to Casshern?

EDIT: I also have to laugh when people mention Dedede's "shirt" being different in Brawl than in Kirby games.

He's not wearing a shirt outside of Brawl. :awesome: That cream colored mass? That's his belly.
Brawl gave him a kimono over it.

Don't see why you have to be against the duo, it makes sense considering there's a pair-up system in the game, and having two of the most popular Awakening characters as a duo fits like a charm.

BTW, where did Ike's fire come from?
Ike really never used Fire, but most assume it's a reference to Radiant Dawn's endgame cut-scene, where Yune, an goddess, (who is also possessing Micaiah at the moment) who's allies with Ike, powers him up so he can end do the final hit hit to the Evil Godess, Ashera. During that moment Ike is surrounded by an aura of Blue Flames.

I understand why Miis would be worse from that perspective, but at least it'll be fun beating the snot out of them, especially since many of them would be embodiments of the Miiverse people. Miis as general video game characters I'm fine with, and I acknowledge their importance and their casual appeal (not enough to make me like them though.) Besides that I wouldn't even play online that much, since I generally get enjoyment out of Smash from playing with friends. I can't even respect Pac-Man as a general video game character anymore though, he had one game that shaked the video game industry, and that's when it should have ended. However, in true Axl Rose manner he continues and has become nothing but a cheap Kirby knock-off. He's been living off of nothing but his name and his arcade fame for 30 years now, I don't respect anything that lives off of 1 out of 50ish titles.

Plus, while Miis would require quite some development time, Pac-Man is still a 3rd party character, and while Namco Bandai are working on the game it still can't be easy to deal with all ther rights. I mean, it's not like the Pac-Man rights sit with the developers who help with Smash Bros, they're still at Namco's HQ, so they still have to go through the hassle of gaining those rights. Sure it's not Sonic, Snake or Mega Man hard, but still more difficult than dealing with a ordinary Nintendo character.
