The most indifferent reaction you can imagine.
Hell, throw Magnus, Medusa or Viridi in there instead and I still won't give a fig since they're characters popular primarily for their witty one liners and personalities, two things we know translate really well into a game that's primary focus is beating the ever loving **** out of one another.
Even if those one liners do get into Smash I guarantee they'll become less and less funny the more times you're forced to hear the same selection of gags.
Honestly would everyone be so mad if Pit was the only KI rep again?

I think we can get away with Palutena not ending up on the roster.
Really, I think if at least three of Ridley, K.Rool, Palutena, and Mewtwo show up, we're bound to be successful as far as reception.
Then again, it's just as possible that we only get Mewtwo. Which would be butthurt galore.
On the other hand, IF Sakurai is looking at more females, then I for one feel that Palutena is a lock.

I feel we are at least getting two. And Mewtwo is kind of a lock. The question is, out of those other three, who's the most likely out of them?
It's difficult, because they all have good enough merits.

Personally I think Palutena is a lock due to her very close associations with Sakurai, she's already a popular character, so it's just up to Sakurai if she wants her to be playable.

I would think it'd be very unfair for Smash and Metroid fans for it to happen again with Samus as the only character, but it is personally something I don't have anything against, and am preparing myself for.Would everyone be fine if Samus(ZSS) was the only Metroid character?

It's the kind of franchise representation that was acceptable in Melee, it wasn't even acceptable in Brawl, so no way it's okay to let it keep going like this in Smash 4. It hurts my eyes to see Samus bracketed alongside the retro characters in Brawl, Metroid is so much more than that, and despite everything it still has less characters than Star Fox, Fire Emblem and Mother.
And don't give me that "ZSS is a second Metroid character" bull****. You change into her by using your final smash, she isn't even selectable from the character selection screen unless you make a whacky input (unlike Sheik and the Pokémons), the random button doesn't treat her as a seperate character as you can't end up as ZSS by choosing random (again, unlike Sheik and the Pokémons), and she's literally just Samus.
Metroid is one of the most popular and iconic franchises represented in Smash, and also one of the longest running ones. To top it off it has a potential character who is incredibly popular and has the potential to be very unique in Smash Bros. If that doesn't make at least Ridley an obvious choice for Smash 4, I don't know what will.

ZSS is a seperate character moveset wise.
For the fans, I think it's a cop out and shows why looking at characters as "reps" is a terrible idea.

ZSS should not be considered a Metroid rep.
But ZSS is considered a character by Sakurai.
So what I'm thinking is that Metroid should be looked at as a franchise with 1 rep, but in reality it has 2 "characters".

I like the idea of Hades as a playable character.
Though all the Palutena supporters would have an UPRSING against Sakurai.
But oh well, HADES gonna hate.
Depends on the design.
If it's classic design, is gladly take him over modern Pac-Man.

I'd say Palutena is more of lock in the context of Pit's special moves being overhauled, which most likely means Pit gets a new Final Smash. Worst case scenario, expecting Palutena to reprise her role is not a good idea.

You've put 56 characters... DANG, that's a lot of characters. Keep in mind that Sakurai mentioned that the roster will have around 45 characters. No offense, but your roster -As a prediction roster- is really highly unlikely... I mean, duck hunt Dog... What makes you think that he could make it to SSB4?

Well then, there's quite a lot of problems with it. The biggest being that you have way too many characters, 56 if I counted right. 58-60 counting transformations (are the Megas supposed to be transformations?).
Mostly everyone waiting for tomorrow at midnight to come by I imagine.

Which one is most likely?: I would say that Takamaru is. But it's hard to say what kind of retro characters are being added.
Which one has the most potential to be unique?: Mach Rider. Since no one else in Smash uses a vehicle. That alone would help him stand out.
Who would you like to see the most?: Mach Rider or Lip. I think they can have the most interesting movesets.
Which one is most deserving?: Not sure. Maybe Muddy Mole, that's hard to say. Much like it's hard to pick which retro character is the most likely.
