Well, it's new roster time and here it is. It's got 48 characters, and the last character was tough...because it was like "Hmmmmm...so many choices, what can I pick?" so I said "Screw it" and chose Isabelle for a second Animal Crossing character? Why? Because Puppies are cute and Isabelle is cute and cute things sell well...yeah, I don't know the reason, but take it for what it is and let me know what you think.

Best part of SSE:

Seriously, all scenes involving Diddy where ****ing badass!

I can't fully disrepect SSE because of this.

Yeah, the two best characters were Diddy (especially with his interactions with Star Fox) and the character development of Lucas.

Also Lyn is in my top 5 most wanted newcomers, of course I want her and I'm glad she's getting even more likely. Personally, I don't need Roy because I don't see him being balanced and awesome like in project m, which is all I need for him.

why not tom nook?

I actually have reason to not choosing Tom Nook. Basically, the Villager in Super Smash Bros is basically a blend of the first three (four if you count Animal Forest) Animal Crossing games and uses basically everything from said games, which would make Tom Nook seem rather redundant as there's almost nothing Tom Nook can do that Villager doesn't already do. However, as of New Leaf, alot of new things have been added into the series that the Villager does not use in his moveset, and so I thought "A character to represent the newer aspects of the series would be a plus, and there's no better choice than the current fan favorite, Isabelle".

Alright, time for a serious review by Louie G.
I cannot stress enough how plausible it is to include Palutena. KI:U was a very popular game, that brought many new and unique characters to the table, but perhaps the best thing it did was develop Palutena's character into an extremely likable character. From then on, people have clamored for Palutena to be included in Smash. Kid Icarus being in the trailer gives me hope for Palutena, as most of the franchises mention have more than one character, and are very important to Nintendo's history. That being said, Kid Icarus was one of the biggest Nintendo franchises back in the day, and I am happy to say that it may be becoming one now.
Putting in unnecessary characters like RHW or Isabelle now over Palutena is almost insulting.

The only things I can remember in SSE was the infamous Captain Falcon Pikmin massacre and the relationship between PKMN Trainer and Lucas.

Is there anyone else who just enjoyed SSE for what it was? Half of you hated it because you just wanna mash buttons and best your friends. The other half of you hated it because it wasn't crazy Inception deep which is something we should never come to expect out of story mode in a fighting game. What we got was a fun crossover with all our favorite characters, and though it may not have been poetry, it was still pretty freakin' spectacular. Plus it's 6 years old now, why are we still complaining?

That...that doesn't sound like alot to base a moveset off of, not to mention Tom Nook's too fat to be jumping around like an agile raccoon. If he's going to have a moveset, it needs to be quirky and awkward, because that's the kind of character Tom Nook is. I would also say a moveset to bring out the fact he's an extortionist, but I don't think that would fly well with the ratings.

Why should we not? Blazblue has a pretty in-depth story. Why shouldn't we expect FG stories to be on par with stories from other mediums or games?

What suggests she isn't? If she isn't a starter, I see no reason why they should reveal her this early on. If she's an unlockable, I'm sure they'd have shown an actual starter newcomer instead.

Nothing suggests either way. Sakurai made a weird comment that seems a bit confusing, but given how careful he was about spoilers on the Brawl Dojo I'm banking on Luigi being a starter this time around. No reason he should be unlockable anyways, he's hardly a surprise at all.

Well let's be honest here...even as a new series in the Smash Bros series, Animal Crossing is more deserving of a second character than Kid Icarus when we compare the long-term success of both franchises. And again, this is my opinion, and I already knew people would be pissed if I added in Isabelle, half the reason I added her in the first place. So yeah, my opinion.

TBH, I think Animal Crossing is long overdue of 2 characters, Villager was planned in Brawl. So Sakurai may try to add 2 Animal Crossing characters to return the favor.
